PlanetChristmas World Wide Contest 2008

PlanetChristmas started it all with original World Wide decorating contest and is doing it again for 2008. There will be thousands of dollars worth of prizes provided by our sponsors plus the honor of being recognized as "The World's Best!"

2008 has three major categories. Choose the one that's right for you and enter by December 20, 2008. Full details are below.

The Over-The-Top display category
The Inflatables display category
The Computerized display category

Here are the 2008 contest rules (but are subject to changes through September, 2008):

Over the Top

Over-the-top Displays have more lights and special effects than you can count. These displays can be computerized and include inflatables. Judging is based on originality, Christmas spirit, contribution to the community and testimonials. The judges decision is final. See below for entry details.

Inflatables

Inflatables Displays make maximum use of inflatables. Judging is based on originality, Christmas spirit, contribution to the community and testimonials. The judges decision is final. See below for entry details.

Computerized

Computerized Displays take the normally static Christmas light display and flashes those lights in some sort of pre-defined sequence. Judging is based on originality, Christmas spirit, contribution to the community and testimonials. The judges decision is final. See below for entry details.

Want some bonus points? Help us expand the PlanetChristmas community! Include a reference to the PlanetChristmas website in your display. A small sign will work or click here for a pre-made one that also supports PLUS.

How do you enter?

Send an email or regular mail describing your display, including pictures and/or video. Also include details of why your display is original, full of Christmas spirit and makes a real contribution to your community. Remember testimonials are important.

All entries must be received by December 20, 2008 at 11:59pm Central Standard Time. The judges will meet on December 21 and December 22 with the winners being notified and announced on PlanetChristmas.com no later than December 23, 2008. Prizes will be mailed soon thereafter. Sponsor gift certificates cannot be combined with any other coupons or discounts.
