  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

Looking for "this is Halloween" Lor Sequence and/or music

Recommended Posts

You can find the song on I-tunes Search "this is Halloween" click on the Nightmare Before Christmas Album link by Danny Elfman, then go to the "citizens of Halloween" artist and click on that song. I believe it is the one heard on the soundtrack.

The version by Marilyn Manson rocks!

Regarding the LOR sequence, I do not know who may have it other than LORSequences.com

Yes it does.

I've started working on the timing for this song. The work I did using the Danny Elfman version lined up very well with the Marilyn Manson version (after aligning the timing).

Darlene,

Do you plan on using a pumpkin choir? This is my first year and I only have 32 channels, but my show has 9 pumpkins singing the song along with lights etc. and I think it worked out pretty well. If you want it and I can figure out how to send it (I'm not real computer literate) I'll send it to you. I really like the fact that people help each other out on this site and share their work. I'm working on several songs from Holdman's Christmas show which has been a big help. Let me know.

It's on its way. It was my first song sequenced and after playing it I just realised I have to go back and work on the 16 channels I added in June. And here I thought I was done with Halloween. Let me know what you think.
