  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

coro snowflakes!

So bright I couldn't get a clearer pic.  But I think I'm gonna like these. Kind of excited to use them in this coming season. Going to put blue lights in another and see what I like better!

Don't mind the wire for the lights, it'll get cleaned up when I figure out what I like best!

Yes I ordered the pack with 4 different designs in them.  They are really nice.  Holds the mini /m6 lights really snug.

I'll try to get a couple more pics up soon.

Again sorry, I cannot get a really clear picture for some reason

20160130_150418.jpgI think I'm going to put white wire lights on these.

I got mine from Boyscostudios. Real durable and really worth the money. You can see some of these in action at the first of this video;

Now something that you need to be aware of, the snowflakes that I used needed jumpers on mine. Would have to go dig them out, but I believed I had 5" spacing on my square pixels?  Still had to put in a 4 or 5" jumper on each. Could be wrong, but don't think the pixel order would have mattered.

pjwallen, thanks for bumping this.  I may give these a try next year.  A few of my Philips rope light snow flakes have failed this year and wrapping new rope light around them is a huge pain.  I could see me doing 2 sets, one in cool white and one in blue.  Thanks again!

At one time they made a set for LEDs. I agree it seems uncertain now.  Boscoyo closes for a few weeks on the 20th so I’ll email him today for clarification and report back here.

Thanks everyone.  I looked at the website yesterday.  I think the snowflakes are about the only thing they still do for mini lights.
