  • Christmas 2017 countdown has begun. Most people reveal their displays the day after Thanksgiving. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

PlanetChristmas is getting a face lift.

AL  Fans

In 2007.  the Northfield Stapleton shopping center had an amazing light show  that ran for 2 years  and then the shopping center went a different route.  They stored 30 AL 16 channel boards and 10 Monster brains.     My friends at Holiday Artisans in Denver just acquired their decorations and are selling these boards and over half their Value.  these boards are in good condition. New ones run almost 400.00    but right now you can get these used boards with power prism outlets installed and in AL enclosures for 150.00 per board plus shipping.   The monster brains can be purchased for 150.00 each plus shipping.   THIS IS AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to Get Good AL boards at over half the going rate of new ones.

So here is how it goes ...   You can email me at [email protected].   the timestamp on the received email is your place in line.  I will contact you with your place in line  and you can let me know how many you want until they are all gone.    I have pics and as soon as I can get my galaxy s6 to down load them  I will post the pics.   Good luck!!

Scot,

Great equipment + antiquated and abandoned software = far less than half of the original selling price. I haven't paid more than $100.00 a controller for any of my spares. I think your expectations are set a bit high.

Ok Bill, Have to ask, how are you programming your shows? We're still rocking an set of sd cards that Mark did years ago. Just adding controllers to make a small ranch house w/48 channels look better. Thanks for the feedback.

Larry

Larry,

Believe it or not I'm still plodding along with AD. I played around with Light show pro but just cant justify the cost of converting all the controllers over to LOR at 150.00 a controller times 65. With the antiquated software and this many channels I usually only add a single song each year.

sorry   Im not much of a seller  I was doing this as a favor to him.  but every email I had gotten after they replied  they decided not to buy them.     SO you can deal with Holiday Artisans directly  no more middle man.     Darren want to get these out of his warehouse they are taking up space
