  • Christmas 2017 countdown has begun. Most people reveal their displays the day after Thanksgiving. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  1. "PixLite 16" or "PixLite 16 MkII"

The MKII can do 6 universes or 1020 pixels per output I believe. That is a presale price and I'm pretty certain the price wont stay that low. I purchased two and believe estimated shipment is mid to late June on the MKII. Any questions drop into AusChristmasLighting chat. Luke (Devo) from Advatek is there daily and is very helpful.
  2. Need Custom Sequencing

Why don't you try Xlights out? Once you get the layout of your house done its very quick to throw together some sequences. You still have plenty of time..
  3. All spoken for. Haven't had a chance to think about shipping or payment. If it falls thru I will let you know. Thnx
  4. Bump... Anyone interested? Will ship all remaining controllers if anyone interested in buying them all. I just don't want to mess around with shipping quotes with a bunch of lookie loos..
  5. Replied to your email. All that is left on spt-2 are cords I have made with male and female ends. Approximately 150 cords with most lengths in the 20-50 foot range. Some longer and some shorter. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a mile of spt2 cords made here. $150.00 takes all. I dug a little deeper in my cargo container and found some more LOR controllers. Pictured are 6 of the 8 remaining LOR controllers. I have 2 more that are still installed in my garage from Christmas 2014. (5) 1602 older version, (2) 1602 newer ones purchased 2013 and (1) CTB16C (this one might have issues- throwing in for free pretty much). There might a couple triac issues. I haven't tested in a few years and really don't want to. There is a bit of silicone on the female plugs on the controllers from my attempted waterproofing. Priced to go. All 8 for $800.00 if you come pick them up. I still have tons of 12ga heavy duty extension cords(25-100ft) which are great to power the controllers.
  6. The two gen3 are on hold as well as one of the older ones until pickup on Sunday. The four remaining 1602's and CTB16PC still available for $600
  7. I have 7 LOR 1602's left and one CTB16PC with I believe a triac issue on one channel. Not sure on generations of the controllers. Two are the newer version with display. The others were purchased between 2008-?. I want them gone. $1000 for the remaining 8 controllers is a great deal. Please come pick them up and bring some extra money for the rest of the stuff I need to get rid of. I have over a mile of SPT ext cords in various lengths, heavy duty 12 and 14ga ext cords and tons of incans (incans practically free). Will let the 8 controllers go for $1,000 and the rest I will make one heck of a deal on. Thanks for all the inquiries so far. email @ [email protected]
  8. I'm located in the Santa Barbara area. I don't want to mess with shipping... I have close to 20 LOR controllers left, tons of incans, spt, extension cords etc. Went from 100k+ incans to all pixels/rgb. If someone in the area is looking at starting a display or increasing size of display this is something worth looking at. If interested please email [email protected]
  9. Dan Alexander

Jumped off the LOR bandwagon and went all pixels/rgb in 2015
