  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  4. Moving- all for sale and give away

You can see it in this video. It was based on the design by that guy in CA. He now sells commercially made ones but this was just like his prototype.
  5. Moving- all for sale and give away

I think there may be some confusion. I think G3 only refers to the showtime controller not the normal controllers. I have person that has claimed the showtime controller and one CTB16PC controller. If you are interested in the other 3 let my know so i can set them aside for you. I just re-checked all the channels this morning.

  8. I built this a few years ago but no longer use it. I think I have most of the hardware for it also.

I built this a few years ago but ended up putting a real hole in the ground after I determined the perfect spot. I think I have most of the hardware also that you use to attach it to the ground. If you are not familiar with what this is, it allows you to set up a mega tree with out a hole in the ground. It is mentioned in a lot of the forums.

  10. Thanks. I will try that latter today.
  11. I have played with it some more. I figured out that I had to set the start color to black. Now I am stuck. I am trying to do a fade up to full from one side to the other. I tried using the chase which does a great job to allow a accurate fade up across the time but not sure how to automatically fill the end cells in the beginning of the fade. Does that make sense?
  12. I have the channels setup and I am not using the pixel editor. I am looking just to use the straight sequencing software. Someone at LOR told it me could be done but they do not have any videos on how besides using the color fade tool.
  13. So I have watched the videos for SuperStar and Pixel Editor but neither are not exactly what I am looking for, I am lining my roof and window lines with smart pixels. They are all different lengths so I am not sure SuperStar will be helpful. It seems designed for a equal numbers of pixels on each strand I only need a few effects so I am trying to figure them out in sequence editor. So if someone has messed with this before I appreciate your help. Questions: I assume I must use the fade tool to assign colors? How can I do a fade up from one direction to another across a string on pixels? If I use the normal fade tool it shows as black/white on the grid How can I do a chase of multiple pixels across a string of pixels. Thanks for your help
  14. RGB Lights

Did you find a good supplier for either the C-7 or C-9. I am looking for clear wire with bases that can be screwed down. I am not having much luck. I had emailed RayWu put never got a response back. He said he does custom lengths but when i sent him my request he never answered back even after a few followup emails. I have used regular C-7 for years to outline my house and wanted to convert them to RGB
  15. Superstar Or Not

So I watched the videos on using superstar and they are geared for mega trees where it seems it would be pretty nice since the grid is set vertically and you can see what you are programming. . I however am just using smart pixels horizontally across roof lines. Most effects will just be fades and and chases from one color to another. So I am missing something that I will need superstar for?
