I have a 10 ft long 2x4 (see image 1). Attached to that are four 4' hight 2x4s (See image 2). Attach legs to the side of the 10 ft board that will be facing out. Cut the bottom of the legs to the same angle as your roof (see image 3). Tie red ribbon around the deers waists at the same point as the painted in one, matching it up. Do not cut the excess ribbon. Use it for the deer beside it. The 4'. Board will separate them. Leaving 4" between them. You should now have pairs of deer tied together with 6" of ribbon between two. Drape the 6" excess on the top of the board. Screw the ribbon to the board. It must be very strong, Quailiy ribbon (See image 4). Now you have your deer team. Drill a hole in your brick and install a heavy duty metal caribener. Tie thick rope around the base of the 4' boards and attach it to the caribener. This is just a fail-safe. The sheer weight should Keep the deer on the roof. If you want to install a Rudolph, attach a board at the end if the 10' one going upward at a 45 degree angle. (See image 5) After putting the ribbon on Rudy, cut off the excess so he has a ribbon around his waist. Tie that to the board on the angle (see image 6). For Santa, take off the runners and find the two small holes that are on either side of the large hole. THESE ARE NOT THE HOLES THE RUNNERS SCREW IN TO. They are different ones. Attach 2x4s to these holes. Put another board along the bottom of this one creating an upside down "T". Re attached the runners. On either side of these "T"s screw two more boards that run directly under the runners. Attach the same legs as the ones that you did on the deer team (See image 7). Fill Santa with sand bags. Attach ropes from the T boards to a second caribener. Attached reins for decoration from Santa's hand, looped through the ribbons around d the deer's waists (see image 8). A little complicated and hard to explain. I can't do close ups until spring. Pm me with questions.
