  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  1. Repairing CCR

I have put a gash in one of my CCR strips. It is not severe enough to have severed any of the circuitry. But I am concerned about moisture possible getting inside. Does anyone know what is commonly used (glue, sealant, etc.) to make such a repair? Thank you very much.
  2. Good morning all: I am running this purchased sequence (Holiday Sequences.com) on the latest LOR software for 16 CCR on a PIXIE 16D - V2. Clicking on the .lms file launches the LOR Sequence Editor v4.3.24 Pro. When I click "play" nothing happens on my tree except for a couple of pixels at the base of channel one flickering. Everything else is dead. Any help would be greatly appreciate. (Note - All ribbons checkout except for #5 which appears to be defective and displays no lights)
  3. Greetings, I recently purchased a few songs from holidaysequences.com and need to change both the Unit ID (2) and Network (Aux A). Since I do not have the Superstar License (24 CCR), is there another way I can change this information instead of clicking 1200 times per song (50 per strip x 2 changes). Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tom
  4. CCR Help

Good Morning, Just got my 12 CCR Tree and Pixie16 Controller from LOR and got the tree built and the testing works great. However, when I try to play a CCR Combo sequence I bought from holidaysequences.com for my Singing Trees and the new CCR Tree, the CCR Tree works, but it looks like everything is shifted to the left as the last two strips never light up and the images look off. Do any additional changes need to take place after downloading a sequence from holidaysequences.com? I just loaded the .lms file into the Sequence Editor and added the media file and hit play. I am very new to the CCR world and just wondering what I did wrong since the testing in the Hardware Utility seems to work fine and all 12 of my CCR's lit up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I would really like to get this tree out in the display by this weekend. Thanks Tom
  5. Hi, I purchased some pre-made sequences from holidaysequences.com I have standard LOR SuperStar (not Xlights or something else) program. I am running just 12 CCRs and a 6 channel star. I have the controller set-up working and running an older show (on an older version of software), so I know it has something to so with my updated software. I have asked Holidaysequences.com and just hadn't heard from them yet, but I was hoping someone might be able to suggest a video on youtube or have some simple directions on what to do after i downloaded the file and hopefully all of the way to creating a show. I searched the LOR website and well it is a bit overwhelming and haven't found specifically what I was looking for and I am hoping someone out there might just have what (hopefully) is just the simple info I need. Thanks in advance! Craig
  6. Hi! I am fairly new to LOR and I bought a 12 CCR display a few years back. I have yet to start designing on my own, but I have purchased a few new sequences this year. My problem is that I have got the sequences in Sequence Editor, and when I go to add the media file from my hard drive that I downloaded it to, the whole program locks up at "analyzing media"! I have been able to merge a few songs and sequences, but not all that I have bought. I can hear my songs when I play them independently, but the program won't progress past the first 1/3 of the little progress bar. Is Windows 10 an issue? Any help would be appreciated ! Craig
  7. Cosmic color ribbons

Anyone know how to build the circles for cosmic color ribbons. I have two, wanting to make circles. Thanks bradshaw
  8. I have a CCR that is brand new that I would like to sell. Asking $225 shipped.

This my first shot at a 20ft CCR tree. Thanks to Steve Smith and is tree diagram and Walter Monkhouse who created Pole Hole II, it worked really well. The only problem I had was I had to move the PVC's closer together (6.5 inches at the bottom) so the cords could reach the power in the center. the second picture shows we did get the ribbons on but we're having trouble programming it. My son is working on it. I have no idea. Anyway, we'll set it up on Nov 1st and I'll update you. We're from South Dakota so getting this to work while the weather is still decent is mandatory. I'm guessing this is the only tree of its kind in the upper Midwest. Looking forward to seeing it work. Since the winds can get pretty strong here, so we're going to put wood braces on the front and back of base, anchor it at the base and anchor it from the tree. Thanks again to the members of this site!!
  10. LOR CCR150 for Sale

I purchased a new Cosmic Color Ribbon with power source last spring. I discovered it was the wrong ribbon. My son had purchased the ribbons from another source for I don't need this. Except for opening the box, it is brand new. $75 includes shipping within the 48 states. Please contact dzingmark@gmail.com. Thank you
  11. Ok, Here's my dilemma! I have purchased the Holiday Coro CCR Clone. My problem (question) is how do I connect this up to my LOR System, I have LOR S3 Advanced. From what I was looking at on line it looks as though I need another NIC Card (network adapter) in my PC, but my PC has no slots available for a second NIC card. Is there another way I can connect my DMX stuff to my PC for use with LOR?
