  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  1. Howdy everyone! I'm just entering the world of servo motion control, using a 6 channel Maestro Micro from Pololu. I've currently got two servos hooked into my board with a push button on channel 0.. I need help writing script for the push button activation. The project is a recreation of the spell book from Hocus Pocus, on the front cover it has a human eye thats "alive"...hence the servo control... I managed to write the script for my servo movement, but cant manage the script for the push button. I'd like the user to push the button and it runs the eye movement, then turns off...till its pushed again. This is my current eye movement script. # SpellBook begin 1000 7960 6000 0 0 0 frame_1..5 # Frame 0 500 6492 frame_2 # Frame 1 700 5553 frame_1 # Frame 2 500 6434 frame_2 # Frame 3 800 6610 5044 frame_1_2 # Frame 4 1900 6453 frame_2 # Frame 5 700 7119 frame_1 # Frame 6 2200 6121 5925 frame_1_2 # Frame 7 500 5435 frame_2 # Frame 8 1000 7745 6179 frame_1_2 # Frame 9 500 4985 6571 frame_1_2 # Frame 10 1200 5827 5709 frame_1_2 # Frame 11 1000 4887 5435 frame_1_2 # Frame 12 1600 7745 6258 frame_1_2 # Frame 13 1600 5944 5905 frame_1_2 # Frame 14 1600 7021 5944 frame_1_2 # Frame 15 1600 6669 frame_2 # Frame 16 1600 5944 4829 frame_1_2 # Frame 17 1600 5338 5709 frame_1_2 # Frame 18 1600 6003 6023 frame_1_2 # Frame 19 1600 5475 6101 frame_1_2 # Frame 20 repeat sub frame_1..5 5 servo 4 servo 3 servo 2 servo 1 servo delay return sub frame_2 2 servo delay return sub frame_1 1 servo delay return sub frame_1_2 2 servo 1 servo delay return
  2. Computer specs

The laptop I have been using for my display is on its last leg, and is getting closer to crashing every time I use it. I have already backed up all my LOR files and am hoping to purchase a new PC soon. In general, what specifications as far as memory and RAM do you all suggest? Also are there any computers/laptops that you recommend? (I'm not looking to purchase anything too pricy)
