Toymakr000 1
I would like to give everyone my thoughts on a mini.... I'd be more up for a micro:p especially this time of year when everything is getting crazy busy... How about a dinner meeting. I have done this a couple of times with a bunch of guys from the Toledo Ohio area and had a great time. I think just getting to meet everyone in the area would be a good starting point. Then as friendships develop we can move on to a more in depth Mini... I think if we pick a central location we can get most people in on it. I'm willing to drive 1-2 hours if necessary..Even just for a dinner meeting! How does that sound???
stratos1 2
I agree Gary, a dinner meeting would be cool, do you have a date in mind?
Toymakr000 1
I'd like a Sat. night, however I don't have any left this year before Dec 1:p So any week night would be good except the first week in November.
teknosoft 10
dinner sounds good to me
trickytransam 10
i have never been up north that far and i think it it were fall my wife would love to come. you know check out the leaves too. We'll take you up into Bear Country. Just keep your hands in your pocket, and if they knock you over...just lay there. Frankenmuth would be fun, but it's up to you guys what you want to do. If Frankenmoof - be forewarned, it may be better to do it before thanksgiving, because after thanksgiving, Bronners gets Nuts, and not in a good way. I steer clear of it because theres so many rude people, it's not worth going. I agree with Toy - a weekday is the least busy, but that may be difficult for many, since they may have to take the day off. Zhenders and Bavarian Inn has separate rooms available for rent, Or we can just make reservations if we know how many folks for sure are coming. C'mon up north eh! fordguy05 0
I made the mistake one year to go to Bronners the day after Thanksgiving. That was a huge mistake cause it took me almost a half hour to even find a parking spot.
trickytransam 10
I stopped in Bronners Today to pick up a gift. It's already a zoo, and today's Thursday 10/29/09. The Counter folks told me it's been busy all this week, and that today, thursday was relatively slow. Frankenmuth is already decorated with lights and the large swags across the street. Bronners now has the Falling Snow lites for the large outdoor trees, and for the indoor trees. They're a bit expensive, but they have them. There was quite the crowd in the Trees section. tpctech 0
Hi, At this point I think we are all counting down our free time to get our shows up! I would be interested in hosting a Mini in the spring here in Niles, MI. I own a company here and would be able to host the event at our shop. We are 3 miles from the Indiana state line and near both 80/90, I94,M51, US12, 933 etc. It would be pretty south for some but pretty central for and a short ride for chunk of Indiana, Michigan, Illionois, Ohio. I have talked to Jerry he is game to help. I would guess that Brad would help! Anybody else interested? I would think we should shoot for April-ish time frame? What do you all think? The location would be at 245 Bell Road Niles, MI. TPCTECH Ken
chartrand 0
Niles sounds good to me. Do we have a committee of people that are planning this yet? Do we need to elect a few folks and get this a bit more formalized? Ken how much space do you have at your business, just trying to figure out how many people we could get into a room. If we need more space we have a new addition on our church that includes a big Gym with a stage, a commercial kitchen, foyer, and a big class room that can be divided into three smaller ones. every year as a member I can use a space free of charge. The location is Coldwater Mi. It's just 16 miles north of the Indian border alone I69 with runs right along the center of the state. -Pat Edited November 4, 2009 by chartrand

My building is 60x75ft most of this is available for the main room. I also have a smal conference room 10x12 and a large training room that is 20 x 30. All of the spaces have video projectors and audio systems. KEN
