Ok you cuts guru's. This is our first year making plywood cutout - Peanuts Gang. They are almost all done - will post when completed of course, here is the question. Do you outline the characters in black or leave them the color that they are to the edges?

I outline everything in black. The sharpies work somewhat well but fade quickly. I usually use a small tip brush and outline with black paint. The outlining in black gives a sharper image.

I agree. I even used paint markers before to outline.

My wife has done well over 150 cutouts for our display. She carries the paint color onto the cut edge of the plywood. She uses the paint pens for lines to accent details. She uses white and silver for black and some other dark colors, black for other colors. Alot of her color changes are done through shading and dry brushing though.
