Flanigan 2
For the third year running have had this, ah, "amorous" couple use my display as a kind of drive-in theater. As with every year, I know they can't see much of the show as the windows are fogged up. Fortunately, there haven't been any other vehicles stop by during their interludes, and they park halfway down the block - would hate for some kids to see that. So, what to do? Jack a mic into the transmitter and give 'em a talking to? Pipe in some Barry White? Shut it down until they leave (not that they would notice)? Call the Church Police? chartrand 0
Don your coat and hat, grab a flashlight and simply walk by with the flashlight going at random. Make it look like your simply out for a walk, maybe take your dog if you have one. I think if you make a few passes and interrupt them a few times they will stop parking in your area. I don't think you will even need to say anything. You may however have to do it 2 or three times for it to sink in for them. -Pat
ernie18 10
i personally like the mic and barry white idea myself
Lyman Rate 0
Ahh love... nothing more beautiful than the sounds of christmas in the background and well... ok back to the world we live in. I think that if they aren't disturbing anyone, and no one is truly being affected or anyone can really see what they are "doing" then not much of a big deal... That being said, if you do have some traffic and many cars going by then I would politely take a stroll and do the flashlight. They will get the idea after a few rounds! Darlene Pino 13
Just put up a "wide-angle" web cam sign, that outa do it, especially if it says something about being broadcast live on the internet....
ChuckHutchings 0
I fail to see the problem. Are they blocking someone's driveway?
urthegman 1
The microphone hooked up would definitely do the trick! They would be so frightened they would never return!!!
indytycoon 0
I fail to see the problem. Are they blocking someone's driveway? I agree, if you can't see what is going on, how do you know what is going on. I have a car that the windows fog up merely by sitting in it. Some cars just do that. If you have actually witnessed the act, call the cops, if they are blocking traffic or driveways, then do something about it. Otherwise, try walking by with a flashlight and such. Flanigan 2
Was trying not be overly crass when describing the situation, but okay - the car is rocking - it doesn't take too much imagination to figure out that they aren't making martinis in there; and it certainly isn't in time to the music. Calling the "cops" is not an option - this is the county whose sheriff is now serving hard time for dealing drugs (Illinois - where our elected officials make our license plates), and haven't had a local PD for 15 years. So, this is hardly something the State Police would muster out for. Guess we'll do the flashlight bit on the next go round. Might just cam it for posterity. indytycoon 0
Well, that clears it up a bit. Get a real bright flashlight (1,000,000 candlepower should do it) and "accidentally" shine it in the car. They may get the hint.
Carrie Sansing 0
Just be careful, you never know what kinds of crazies are in that car. If you shine that light in, be sure to stay well away from the car (I had a friend that was killed by a guy with a loaded gun, similar situation).

Apache Lights 10
This may be the funniest problem I've heard on pc so far. Maybe you should just take it as a compliment, they really like your display.

cozzi 11
Okay - I've been following this thread and have held my tounge but now I have to speak out. I need to know your show hours because I'm going to take my wife by to see if your display has the same effect on here. If you see a blue Saturn Vue with fogged up windows, stay away. Entropy 0
Use a laser pointer. They'll have a hard time seeing where it's coming from but will know that someone's watching.
Flanigan 2
Well, they haven't returned since the original post, but there's still the weekend. It'll be my luck that they'll be there the same time the TV station shows up. Thats a kind of viral video I don't want circulating. Actually was thinking about doing a "Hot Chocolate" sequence. And I don't mean Polar Express, either! lol Maybe "Santa Claus is Watching You" with the spotlight pointed right at their car - triggered every time 'He's everywhere, he's everywhere!" comes up. Remember those "films" we had back in high-school health class? The jumping frames and chattering film gate to the strains of "Never My Love" while displaying all the graphic nastiness of "social diseases"? That may be the ticket.... Did snag a 1-bajillion candle power spotlight Monday, so we'll see what develops. Son wants to sneak around behind the car and give it a few hard shakes. Think he's been playing too much Call of Duty. Edited November 30, 2010 by Flanigan

Won't be too big a deal as long as they have a rear windshield wiper.
