My father was in the Army for 28 1/2 years. I grew up an Army brat. The unique perspectives I have in my life based off living in multiple countries and experiencing cultures that most don't have the opportunity to experience has been an amazing part of my life. Travel is ingrained into my life now due to my upbringing. As is appreciating the men and women who fight daily for me and my friends and family to enjoy the freedoms that many of us take for granted every day. Thank you to all those armed service members...past and present. May God Bless you and your families for your unfailing service to our country.

Thank you everyone in the military! Two of my cousins have served, and I have utmost respect for those who offer their lives to secure our freedoms.

Also, there's a great program going on in Atlanta called The Big Thank You where a local radio station hopes to give a hand written letter to every troop stationed overseas this Thanksgiving. If you want to write a letter, read more about it here: http://thebertshow.com/the-bert-shows-big-thank-you/

I am currently a member of the PA National Guard with E Co. 128 BSB, Hunt Armory, Pittsburgh PA. I joined 3 years ago and serve as a 92Y Unit Supply Specialist. I began much later in life, beginning basic on my 35th birthday. I only wish I'd have done this when I was younger. It is an honor and a privilege to serve. Sometimes people forget what they give up in order to give us freedom and safety. I'm glad it wasn't to late for me to do my part!
