Washington Mini 2011 Topics

New this year will be a more in depth introduction for all attending.

We want to allow time for everyone attending to introduce themselves

and tell us about their favorite display element. We want to give you

a heads so you can prepare to either bring the element or take pictures

or videos of and describe the details of how you built it and how it works.

This could take most of the morning, but we'll all learn so much more!

Other topics we are considering:

DIY - Do it yourself

RGB pixels - types, usage and controlling them

"Sequencing your display to the next level" - techniques and methods to get to WOW!

And of course - Your ideas!

Giddy Up!

I accept the challenge if I can throw in a couple tips for Family Friendly Halloween displays as well. :)

I will be missing the Mini this year - be flying on a business trip. I will get the chance to see some old friends, and put a hand shake to a friend I have been chatting with for some years but never met in person.

Am sure that Mark, Kevin, and Bill (and others) will continue in their awesome tradition.

Along with what Kevin stated up front for subjects, another one we are considering will be around the subject of display growth. Based on experience, moving from an initial animated display, what happens on the track to a Mega Display. There is more than meets the eye to consider.

More updates to follow.

I am hoping to make it, but I will be moving to Marysville on April 30th, so not sure if we will be set so I can get the time to come back down or not. Hoping so, but I cant make plans for that weekend just yet. :(

P.S... Hey Dennis, I will be on 138thStreet NE :)

Kedogn, Welcome to Snohomish County, I will like having a new display to go see. Hope

you can get all your work done in time.

Thank you! :) I am really doubtful I will have anything ready for this year, honestly. Too many irons in the fire with the move. Yet, I am planning a triumphant return for 2012... assuming the Myans are wrong :)
