Jim: It doesn't really matter. I was given a manger that is about 12ft tall and 15ft wide that is made out of wood. I already have the nativity in wireframes, but I was thinking it might be nice to have a blowmold Jesus for the actual manger. I have found a few on Ebay that I have been looking into. Do you have any preferences as to what brand? I'm just looking for a cheap one.

Chad in my opinion you would need a "lifesize" baby jesus blowmold (they are actually about 1/2 life size). I dont have an extra one of those. The medium set that most folks have and that you see mostly on ebay would be way too small. I will keep an eye out for one but if you see one on ebay that you think is fairly priced Id get it! Not too easily an item to get!

Brad, thanks for the info! I will have to keep my eyes open for a life sized Jesus.

Aaron, you can find the address to my display on my website along with directions, however in 2009 we had a post with many addresses. Here is a link to it. Not sure how many are still around though.

Already told my wife that we are going to go by yours and Ken Maxwell for sure this year. Been by Maxwell two years ago. So hopefully we will found some more to go too.

Hey gang. Sorry I've not been paying attention. Still living in Antioch/Smyrna in October Woods. We have been working on a few new items for this year. Will be our 6 year in a row with a completely different display. The fun continues. Looking forward to seeing everyone's displays this year.

I've got a small Halloween display. It's mostly a wood/pvc fence, a few spot lights, a few tiki torches burning the colorflame fuel (red green, and blue), and a few misc tombstones, and cobwebs.

Nothing animated or running off a controller. I wanted to get a few animatronics, but the budget didn't allow it this year.

That reminds me I need to get some of my stuff out and go thru it. I need to get new flood light holders with the spring clamp on them for my gutter. And touch up the paint on my fencing.

Anyone have about 20-25' of Orange or Purple rope light and a power adapter/cord they're not using? I need it to "rope" off my sidewalk to keep the kids from trampling the display area.

I'm only going to put my display up for that weekend (including Monday), because of possible vandals and such.

Hey neighbors! We're in Donelson. Aaron - there are some REALLY good ones in Middle TN. SupermanBrandon has a great one there in "Cane Ridge", there are a couple of guys down in Murfreesboro that have some super ones. There is also a static drive thru' display off of highway 109. We drove thru' it (think it was 8 or 10 bucks?) a few years ago - however, I think it looks prettier from the road. Of course there is Shadrack's display at the campground up here (by Opryland); not sure if they are doing it again this year. Warning, it is pricey.

This is only our second year doing this and we have a measly little 32 channels; but I love them just the same.

Is anyone interested in doing a Mid-TN map we could cross promote?

I'm a newbie too. already feeling the pressure.

Skelton - do NOT worry - your display is already 19 times better than the houses with no display at all! I have learned a lot from the members here - reading back through old posts. Some even share their shows and layouts for you to see how someone else did it, so you can tweak and use for your show.

Let us know where you are so we can show our support!

I was so grossly disappointed in Shadracks. We went last year, and again this year...SAME SHOW this year!!!! Same sequences!!! Most of us hobbists redo our sequences or bring new songs to the table every year...and we do it for free!!! For 25 bucks, at least change the songs!!!!
