If you didn't order from MITS , then why are you here stirring things up. My understanding was this was the people that bought lights on this order,

I wasn't trying to stur things up. I read most of the posts on here and he did ask a question. I thought I was relaying how you guys (MITS customers) feel. AGAIN IF I had order bla bla I would be pissed.

If you don't want us NON MITS people posting then maybe keep it private or maybe it should deleted or ???

Why should we delete it or keep it private? And you don't speak for any MITS customers, we speak for ourselves.

To update everyone: The container has officially cleared customs and is working its way to San Antonio (we are about three hours from the inspection station). We have 246 preprinted labels for full cases which will be cross docked as they come off the container for immediate shipment and then we will be picking the per stand orders for shipment. Please note that if you have some individual strands and some full cases the full cases may arrive in a different shipment than the strands but will all be shipped as fast as possible.

Thanks Jacob. It'll be nice to have my lights in hand... this way I can put them in the garage and leave then until January when I plan on replacing my incandescents lights and go 100% LED for 2013.

I don't mind all the delays and problems that have happened with the order, Jacob has kept HIS CUSTOMERS in formed of all the problems vis email, PM, and on the forums. Those that DID ORDER FROM MITS know exactly what's happening. Those that didn't shouldn't come on here and complain OR BRAG that they got their lights months earlier because you DO NOT know the entire story. I personally do not mind my lights were delayed, I SAVED a ton of money over other vendors, and even though I won't be able to put many of the new lights I purchased to use this year, I'll be able to start replacing my lights the day I take then down.

Again... THANK YOU JACOB!!!

You seem a little overly passionate about this, imo. (insert winky - trying to keep this as jovial as possible)

Not sure who you directed your comments at specificly, so to clarify my position, I wasn't bragging about my situation. I simply pointed out that what was communicated to me about delivery failed 2 years in a row. Both years delivery was to be by spring, both years orders are months beyond that. I think MITS should be a little more realistic in what they tell customers. For newbies like myself, it would help a lot to know there could be such long delays.

When I decided to go elsewhere this year, the vendor I chose was very confident delivery would be on time. His confidence, and past performance, is what made my final decision and everything was delivered on time.

I'm not here to be the harbinger of doom. I just think MITS should have a closer look at what is going on, try to figure out why it's happening, and what they can do to improve for next year. I will buy from MITS again if these delivery issues are fixed. If it's something they can't guarantee they should be upfront about it. That way those of us who need lights earlier won't experience a significant time crunch getting elements ready. But I can't make that decision if I can't get a confident answer from them.

Just trying to be helpful here. I appreciate there are people out there like MITS who are willing to go through all this "crap" to help us addicts with our hobbie, and thank them for wanting to continue after all the troubles they've had to put up with.

When a vendor ships a container FULL of the WRONG lights, and they have to be re-made and shipped is not something Jacob can control personally. If it was not for the container of incorrect lights, we would have received our lights in June right around the time we were expecting.

Anyone that DID ORDER from Jacob, and had a problem with the delays were able to contact him directly, work out the problem or cancel their order. Those of us that did order, and stuck with Jacob did so FOR LOYALTY. Yes we also saved money, and YES we are receiving our lights later than expected, BUT maybe WE DON'T care about that, and are putting up lights for FUN, and ENJOYMENT, not for other reasons.

Like mentioned before.... You DO NOT need to come on here and BRAG ABOUT how you got your lights months ago. Please STOP, and MOVE ALONG. There is NOTHING to see here... If you did not order from Jacob, you have nothing to talk about in here.

All further responses in which anyone comes into the MITS Group buy thread and start talking about their order from another vendor will be reported as voilating the 3 rules of the forums, as they have NO productive or positive impact on the thread.

As long as mine get here by Thanksgiving I am golden, price is far better than anyone else and he does return emails and let us know anytime we want,

Amazes me that the **** stirring always comes from someone not even in the buy group from the vendor. Wow some people are amazing you would think the childhood bullshit would have grown out of some people but guess that is wishful thinking........

I can appreciate the enthusiasm for possible "bad container" deals, but I'd be happier with a quick confirmation that this new container had what was expected when they popped open the doors the other day. Silence is not golden. And yes, I have emailed Jacob directly since my order contained items I need for Halloween. Hope to hear back from him today.

I "ASS U ME" that was directed at me! This all started because I replied to one post

Hi Everyone,

As a general update, we have received and inspected the shipment and everything looks great. We have shipped just over 47% of the lights and have a crew of 12 scheduled over the weekend so everything will be out to FedEx by Monday morning. Please note that to make things as fast as possible we shipped full cases first and then started the picking process for individual strand orders. Many folks ordered a mix of full cases and strands so you might get the cases Monday or Tuesday and then a second batch with the individual strands Wednesday or Thursday. I will be replying to individual emails at the end of the day as we are focused on getting everything out. Thanks again for everyone’s patience and understanding.
