So, I wanted to add a manger to my display. I didn't want to make it like all the rest. I started with finding what I wanted for a design. Then I got to work. Here is my disign. I used Plywood for the cut out and back. I used treated wood for the sides. Then I used shelving brackets for the light beams. I added rope light to the beams and sides.

Hi That is beautiful. Could you take a picture of it in day lite so we could see how it is constructed? Thanks. Beautiful!

Thank you everyone for the compliments. I was pretty pleased when I was done with it last year.

I dug out the manger to take some closer pictures. The manger is 38" by 5'. A change I would make would be to use 1/2" plywood to cut out the front scene. When I screwed the shelf brackets to make the beams, the screws did come out the front a little. I used 3/8" plywood for the back and the sides were treated 1"x6". I primed the plywood and put several coats of black paint on it. I used spray paint on the shelf brackets after I used a degreaser on them. I store the legs inside the box for the off season.
