RichardH 0
Being new on the board this year I just saw the toy factory made by Bryce Holy Cow! He is very good. The design of this is awesome. How are these made? Is this white wood with holes drilled in it with Mini Lights poking out? Thanks for any info anybody can give.
nanac1 0
First, his name his Bryce not Bruce and I agree he is very talented. He uses coroplast, very well supported with mini lights. Marilyn

I know that Coroplast is available in many colors. Does white coroplast make it look brighter as appose to using black? It seems like with white you would have to make sure that other lights were not washing it out.

There is also one member from Australia that paints his like a wood cutout to match the colors so his even look great during the day. Jeff
Scott Loftus 2
If you go to Bryce web site, I believe he had some photos of him and his wife making this piece in the photo above.
margie 0
I think Jeff is referring to Don from New Zealand. Since it doesn't get dark there till late (southern hemisphere), he painted his coroplast so his display could be enjoyed during the daytime. Don posted that 2005 was going to be his last year of creating a display, so I'm not sure if he ever transferred to the new boards. Here are day/night pictures that he posted. McKinleyBrown 0
Coroplast - the stuff you use for garage sale signs, right? Basically just draw your design on the front, punch holes throught the coroplast and them stick the mini lights through the hole - through the back of the coroplast. Anyone ever have a light-bright set when you were little? Works similar to that - that gives me an idea!!!!!!!
