Did you know?
  • The original Rudolph did not have a red nose. In that day and age, red noses were seen as an indicator of chronic alcoholism and Montgomery Ward didn’t want him to look like a drunkard. To complete the original picture, he was almost named Reginald or Rollo.
  • The Christmas wreath was originally hung as a symbol of Jesus. The holly represents his crown of thorns and the red berries the blood he shed.
  • The three traditional colors of most Christmas decorations are red, green and gold. Red symbolizes the blood of Christ, green symbolized life and rebirth, and gold represents light, royalty and wealth.
  • Tinsel was invented in 1610 in Germany and was once made of real silver.
  • The oldest artificial Christmas trees date back to the late 1800s and were made of green raffia (think grass hula skirts) or dyed goose feathers. Next the Addis Brush Company used their machinery that wove toilet brushes to create pine-like branches for artificial Christmas trees that were less flammable and could hold heavier decorations.
  • ‘Jingle Bells’ – the popular Christmas song was composed by James Pierpont in Massachusetts, America. It was, however, written for thanksgiving and not Christmas.
  • Coca-Cola was the first company that used Santa Claus during the winter season for promotion.
  • Hallmark introduced their first Christmas cards in 1915.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.
  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.

Several Inflatables For Sale

Recommended Posts

I've decided that I'm going to get the 10' Turkey this year, but for me to get that one, unfortunately I have to let a few of my other ones go. They are all in great shape. I've been displaying inflatables for every holiday for the last 11 years, and still have my original 2001 models, so I take great care of mine. I'm keeping those, but I'm selling a few newer ones that are either brand new or only used for 1 or 2 seasons. These have been in storage for the last few years, I cut myself down to only 1 a holiday, so these have just been taking up space. The boxes are a little worn from storage, but the actual inflatables inside them are in great shape. Any broken parts on the used ones have been completley repaired and they are ready to be displayed. I'm hoping the prices are reasonable, if not, message me and hopefully we can figure something out. I have Paypal if anyone would like to pay that way.

I have:

8' Soldier (Used two years) - $30

(A very cold and windy December a few years ago broke some of the clips on the bottom but they have been repaired)

6' Rotating Globe (Used one year) - $35

(Vinyl is a little dirty, just needs to be washed)

8' Mickey Caroler (Used two years) - $45

**Apparently my camera decided to delete the pictures of Mickey. I'll try to get some more soon, but you can see him on the box for now.

8' Animated Helicopter (Brand New) - $75

(Apparently I relocated the original blower for this one sometime between when I bought it and now, so I'm including the one from my 20' snowman, which as you can see, works just as well. If I can find the real one before someone buys it, I will include it instead.)

Mickey and Soldier are pending sale.

Rotating Globe and Animated Helicopter are still for sale.

I'm still interested in the Soldier if you don't sell it.

I have found the original blower that belongs to the helicopter in case that changes anyone's mind.

And anyone who is waiting on shipment info or quotes from me, I still haven't forgotten about it, it's just been really crazy around here, especially with Halloween coming up, so if you could just wait another day or two, I'd really really appreciate it! I'll get to it as soon as I possibly can and I promise you'll have them before Christmas! :)

I really apologize for anyone who had contacted me previously expressing interest in these inflatables, some personal family problems came up that I had to take care of first and then I ended up forgetting about these after that had all calmed down.  Then when I finally remembered about these over the summer, I had issues with logging back into my account here, so that just pushed it off even more.  Thankfully, I am finally able to get back onto the forums now.  I do still have all of these pieces available if anyone is still interested as well and I am still trying to get rid of these
