Gotta Love Your Neighbors And Offspring

Recommended Posts

Maybe a couple of flat tires every time they park there might do the trick...............

I'm not saying damage the tires but the stems unscrew quit easily.

Is it perfectly legal to run your water sprinklers all night long ever so slightly slapping the side of her car?

Wow, really???

I have people park in front of my house EVERY DAY because they work 1 block away downtown. Sometimes they stay parked all night :( I have put messages on the habitual offenders cars that stay for extended periods during the evening and dont' worry about it when it's only during the daytime. I have off street parking (but my neighbor doesn't and struggle to find parking after his long day at work) so I don't worry too much about it.

I have plans to make a coro sign I can place out front that says:

"Santa's sleigh parking only from 5 to 10 pm Thank You"

Considering the funeral home across the street has 2 parking lots now (took away 4 visible parking spaces on the other side of the street AND places his signs on the curb when there is a funeral forcing people to park in front of my house) I am faced with the "parking vs viewing" issue all the time.

yeah, it is a catch 22.... the neighbor is one of those that the more you ignore him the more of a pest he becomes.

I personally have not had any issues with the daughter but geez some common courtesy and common sense would go a long way......

I want people to feel they can park and watch, that is our goal here but when you get bafoons like this it frustrates me....especially when she is more than capable to park and walk from the front of her parents house or for that matter their own driveway!

Maybe you need a sign that any cars left unattended will be decorated for Christmas. Some nice vinyl stickers and such would make it so "purdy."

Although if it snowed... You could remove the snow from the windshield and grill to make a character from Pixar's "Cars". Saw a picture recently where someone did that with some police cars of all things. :-)

I would not advocate any sort of damage to anyone's car but perhaps a kind reminder that parking on the driveway would be safer especially if the roads are icy.

Came home Drilling at the Unit tonight and my tenants parked their minivan right in front of the house. They also left their porch lights on. I pounded on the door and said, "turn out the porch lights." Then a few minutes later she asked if I'd help her hang the garland lights in her living room (ladder needed) . I said, "sure, as soon as that van gets moved and NEVER LEFT OUT FRONT the entire Light Show Season."

The van was moved within minutes...

Hay, it's Saturday night, the high traffic night! lol

we all most have neighbors that know each other or something. I had a neighbor park infront of the donation box (right in front of the house all day yesturday and right up till the end of the show. Then when i go to colect the donations they come out and move the car. seems it was the neighbor kids girl friend.

Have you ever had issues with these neighbors before. Maby she is just oblivious to the fact that she is blocking the show. Common sense and courtesay is not so common these days. If you happen to see her park there simply explain the situation to her. I feel that a note left on the car, no matter how nice it is will be taken as bad, then more issues other than parking could arise.

well i came home tonight and she was back, I went over and said something and they were glad to move.

Exactly... and when they think about how their actions affect the people who view your display, they will not do it.  My sister just dropped off 2 pieces of coro from work.  I plan on making my "Santa sleigh parking" signs to warn people
