Led's Not Lighting All The Way

Recommended Posts

My mentioning of the rectifier was because I had a huge order of led strings from a well respected vendor here a few years ago that had switched manufacturers and while the lights seemed okay at first, after ramping the lights up and down the strings began to dim. The way the rectifiers had been built using capacitors along with the usual diodes and resistors would overheat and sometimes actually catch fire. I had to rebuild and replace all the rectifiers myself and the lights have been fine ever since. I am not naming the vendor as he had no way of knowing the rectifiers would not be able to handle fading.
