vegasryder 0
I thought I'd use this ELP song to open my show with. This is my first shot at using a pixel tree. Hope to get into dmx a little bit more in the future. https://vimeo.com/81563298
s8830906 11
Awesome! What are the specs on your pixel tree? Too late this year, but it is a goal for next years display. Steve
qberg 158
Very nice...I would like see the specs on the tree too....how hard is it to program those snowflakes?
vegasryder 0
Thanks. guys. The tree is 15 ft high with the base constructed of 1 1/4 pvc. The pixels are WS2811 5 v and there are 16 strings of 50 pixels secured to a polyester strapping material. The top of the string has a d ring and the bottom a 1/4 eyebolt. I used a sandevices E682 controller so I can take advantage of the E1.31 network. Programming the tree was a snap using xlights/Nutcracker to create all the effects that were then exported to my LOR sequences. Most of the tree design I found by following Walter Monkhouse's ( I think I spelled it correctly) design.
