XmasLightGuy 1
Just a quick heads-up... Both Lowes & Home Depot went to 75% off Xmas today.
XmasLightGuy 1
Those little light-show kits Lowes had on clearance for $36 (reg $144) looked interesting (not to mention a little bit tempting) didn't get one though... Same goes for the set of GE ColorEffect(think that was the name) RGB lights for $12.50 tempting, but didn't get. Since I'd already gotten some of the RGB SynchroLights at Home Depot for $7.
RobbyD8593 0
The Lowes in my area went to 75% off on the 31st. So I was able to grab a "few" sets! LOL

shirtman 10
nice haul. It was a fun day as I picked up 8000 LED's at 75% off. I left left a lot behind.
CameronInGA 7
Our local Lowe's was wiped out by Christmas day. The didn't have much to look at when I went last week. Made scores a few other places, though, so I'm mostly happy (still hunting for blue incans, though).
RobbyD8593 0
WOW!! Just showed it to my wife and said "see, it isn't just me" Nope, it's definetly not just you! Hahaha. I'm sure that most of the members here have a few pics like this to show. just to see the looks on my neighbors faces when I start unloading my finds is priceless! You would think they might be used to it by now!

RobbyD8593 0
Thanks! And to believe I actually left some behind......what was I thinking!?! LOL. I look forward to the sales just as much as I look forward to setting up my display every year.
jeeper621 11
All of my local Lowe's stopped restocking their lights. They pretty much get 1 or 2 shipments for the season and once they sell that's it. By the time they hit their end of season sale there's nothing left!
XmasLightGuy 1
@jeeper621: Thats pretty common with the stores around me too.. I tend to go out and check multiple stores (especially if there's something I'm looking for). sometimes get lucky and find stuff
JR Kahuna 0
All of my local Lowe's stopped restocking their lights. They pretty much get 1 or 2 shipments for the season and once they sell that's it. By the time they hit their end of season sale there's nothing left! That is what happened around me the last few years, since the economy turned down. Last I went out day after Christmas and the cupboards were bare. I didn't even bother going out this year. It was sheer luck when I went on New Year's Eve and scored my 5500 at 75%. One of the employees said they had received them from other stores. I will take it.
CameronInGA 7
I had no luck at Lowe's this year, but did nicely at Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Home Depot and Walgreens.
ChicagoChristmasJim 0
I got a huge score at Home Depot yesterday evening. It seems our recent snow storm has slowed everyone else down. They had TONS, and after filling my trunk and backseat, I had to stop and left lots behind. Tomorrow is another day, however!
Sidetrack73 5
Just landed for me what is a huge score.. 6250 icicle lights about 30 or so boxes maybe a few more plus 1100 ft of garland, cost at retail was 558.64 before taxes.. got it for 43 and some change.. Think a manager was tired of seeing it. They had everything discounted to 75%, then at registered after pricing everything, they took another 75% of the discounted price!!! I think someone actually lost money there.. (it wasn't me!)
CameronInGA 7
Very nice!
XmasLightGuy 1
Major deal score there Sidetrack73 !

A good friend of mine that has worked in retail for several chain stores once told me, that at 75% off the store is " breaking even". Anything lower than that and they are loosing money. JR Kahuna 0
I scored some more C7 LEDs at one of our Home Depots. The other has nothing. Stopped by Kmart and they are on,y at 70% at what I think are inflated prices! but still had plenty of stuff. I already spent a good chunk this year and starting to get the "enough" look from my wife. I am going to keep checking back this week until they go 90%. I treat this like buying stocks, patience and you can get you price
joesmoe2013 1
My brother got about 50k incans 10 years ago. They had 90% off listed price instead of 90% off. The listed price was 90% off already. He paid like 10 cents a box. They tried to tell him no but someone messed up. Manager was pissed
Father Penguin 11
Went to my local home depot today picked up 32 boxes of led 50 multi dome lights strings at $2.10 per box with sales tax Stopped at local sears, they still stocked with lights but still too pricy at 70% although named brand of lights GE
merrymidget 42
Those H/D "dome" lights are VERY directional, unlike the wide angle 5mm LED sets they look similar to on the box
