RobertB 14
Thanks for the links. I will see if anything happens with the message I sent them. Unfortunately...that is the colored version. I used 4 of the white strips in my arches this year and loved them;
Billings North Pole 0
Boy your getting some hits just awesome!
RobertB 14
That one went kind of crazy. Every TV station in Alabama showed it along with the ATL stations here. Put it in the thread because it had some fast arch action and also kind of a twinkle effect at the first. These were just really heavy duty arches that looked good. Nope. No other color but cool white. Ok by me. They were just real easy to program over my incan arches to these when I grouped them. Just would hate to either have to buy more pixel strips to replace all of them or go with 3. Don't want to do either :-(
Lee_N_the_NorthWest 10
Robert, What is a reasonable price? They are $60.00 on Amazon free shipping. Lee
RobertB 14
Well...... I may end up having to go in that direction. Ouch. Paid $15.00 per strip NEW after Christmas last year :-(
RobertB 14
Still looking for these. Not going to pay the 79.xx seen on Amazon though :-(

Don't want to do either :-( I don't have any but I do have a question. It appears that you have "hacked" those so that you can control them rather than using the built in sequence. Is it possible to do the same with other Gemmy products like the C9s, icicles, or lawn stake items? TED
RobertB 14
Ted, I am no expert on these, but at least on these strip... yes. They are hackable. I used a e682 controller from http://www.sandevices.com/ . I am pretty sure the GE Color Effects types are. It really depends on the chip set. I would also check out doityourselfchristmas.com as well. Pretty much a DIY form with lots of hacks listed :-)

Pretty much a DIY form with lots of hacks listed :-) I'm a member there (DIYC) too but I haven't seen much about the gemmy lightshow products. I did see where one guy posted that they were not hackable. Did you just cut off the original controller box and then connect the strips to the e682 controller? TED
RobertB 14
Sure did; Go look at these - https://www.youtube.com/user/BurtonChristmasLites Look for the ones that are from this year. All of those vids the arches are the Flextech Strips using a Sandevices e682 controller. Loved how they turned out. I may possibly paint the pvc pipe black next year. However with this setup my mini trees lit up the white in the strip itself when not in use. In some ways...that is ok. Really pops when I went from black to the arches.
