I saw the show, but did not know it was you guys.   Not having any of these, I do not normally follow this post.   I did think of you guys while watching it, but it did not click in my head until the next day that the guys name was Darrid.       Very cool.  Did he really break the 2 arms?    I know you probably can not say to much, but how much of the show is "fake"?    I watch it every week.   Normally they rebroadcast the previous weeks show the following week before the new show.  You must have been the last one of the season, they are not on this week.    I deleted it from my DVR before I knew it was you.    I wanted to go re-watch it.

I was surprised that he did not strap the pieces down in the van.  Good thing Josh is familiar with the repairs!

These will be a big undertaking for sure! I'm glad I have some great friends to help reference the refurb as I move through it. I see lots of sewing in my future!

Did anyone catch the TV show? Thoughts comments? If you didn't see it, it can be found on On Demand.

Yes, had a chance to see that episode and told a few friends as well.  It was kewl to get a sneak peak at your collection, Darrid.   Do you have everything at your place or additional storage space?  Do you even know how many pieces you have in total??   Great To See You Guys On The Show !!

Yes I saw it, you and Josh have lots of cool stuff. I didn't like how they handle it though shouldn't they have wrapped the stuff better. Darrid you mentioned about the cold being very bad.

I pretty much have all my stuff in a building that is only air conditioned and Arizona doesn't

get that cold are lows are like 35 degrees but when I watched the show you got me concerned.

Bay,  you are fine storing your figures in an AC only area. That may be the best thing for the figures. Quick temp changes reek havoc on these figures & condensation. Your display is inside and so is your storage so you really have no worries. Extreme temps do wear on them a bit though. High heat will break down the latex and take them out of form and makes them prone to dry rot while extreme cold under the 0 mark makes them brittle but they will still survive if they are not moved. It is when you move them in the very cold weather that they break & the motors will take time to start up & the older the motor the longer it will take if it starts at all due to the gum up factor of the grease but once warmed up they will start to move again so do not think that they are burned out. My hamberger figures have been outside since OCT / NOV under a tarp & I have only had problems where I used the wrong clay for repairs. You can expose them to the elements but over time it will wear on them but scotchguard helps fight against that too. As for the plaster & paper mache figures the same goes for them - no quick temp changes & NEVER GET THEM WET! They are not Gremlens but they will turn to mush & they will be ruined. Figures you have to watch out for with the cold is Silvestri they used a plastic like form that cracks & or shatters. Creegan is awesome in whatever weather you have them in & temp change does not effect them as much either. Every company has / had their own issues even with their outdoor versions {which was not much different then their indoor stuff..lol}

Sorry to ramble but I hope this helped out a bit.

Hey all - have a ton of Hamberger, Creegan, Lou Nasti & other CHrisstmas animated / mechanical store display figures up for auction right now 7 a ton more to follow - Bears, penguins, elfs / gnomes, you name it - am clearing shop. About 40 or so figures have to be sold off & the Hamberger tree with the baroll is up for sale too. Its to rare & I amslo have the figure that goes inside the tree/ I rather not list it & sell it on Craigslist or Ebay for anyone to buy. Instead I rather give a discounted price to someone on Planet Christmas. Let me know if you have seen that tree before cause I doubt it, It may be almost as rare as the gingerbread house that I sold to the Kandy Kids display.

Any questions on items for sale just send me a message.

Thankx
