Bubble Lights

The liquid in the Bubble Lights is METHYLENE CHLORIDE.  The reason it is used is that it has a very low boiling point (40 deg C).  The freezing point is  -97 deg C.  So I think the problem is not freezing, but even with the low boiling point and your outside temp in December, if they will bubble for you.

Can you put glass bubble lights outside or will they freeze and break?

Bubble lights are awesome!  If you put them in a sheltered area (porch?) where they would not get wet it might be ok.  But as David mentioned they might not get hot enough to bubble.
