FS: Huge Merry Christmas sign and associated PC LOR controllers

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

After using this for several years, I am looking to sell my Merry Christmas sign.  The only way to describe this thing is HUGE.  There are some pictures up in the following folder:

and a pretty good daytime picture of it above my garage located here:

I might post it to Craigslist, but I fear that folks won't know what to do with it there.  It is meant to be controlled each individual letter and in two separate colors (red and green... although when you turn red and green on at the same time, you kind of get a warm white as a bonus).  There are 14 letters in Merry Christmas, so there are two of the 16 channel LOR controllers required to control it properly (one for red and one for green).  You can see some videos of it in action at:

I'm not looking to get much money for it, but at least something to make up for the fact that there's probably $200 worth of rope light and around 100 hours of my time into making the thing.  I would mostly just be happier knowing that it was still being used.

I also have two PC series LOR controllers that were used to control it that I'd like to sell.  The last time I sold these a couple years back, I was able to get $150 for each of the seven that I sold, so let's start there.

Let me know if anybody might be interested!  Happy New Year.

Thank you, I agree, it is definitely awesome and wasn't my design so I can't take credit for it.  The folks at Christmas In Kent had the original design I think and then the folks at T2 Lights modified it slightly.  I modified it further by incorporating both the red and the green into one sign and was very happy with it.  I do agree that the shipping would be horrible... it is HUGE.
