Andy Anderson 25
The 10th Annual Virginia Mini will be held on Saturday, June 10. Matthew Satterwhite has graciously offered to host the mini again this year. The location will be Hanover Academy located at 115 Frances Road in Ashland, VA 23005. Hanover Academy is just off I95 in Ashland which is on the north side of Richmond. The minis are an excellent opportunity to meet with other Christmas lighting enthusiasts to share ideas, design plans, implementation, sequencing or just to meet other with the same goals in Christmas lighting displays. We want to allow time for everyone attending to introduce themselves and tell us about their favorite display element. We want to give you a heads up so you can prepare to either bring the element or take pictures or videos of it and describe the details of how you built it and how it works. This could take some time, but we'll all learn so much more! Anything from your display that you would like to share with the group. Talk about why it is special to you, or why you made it, how you made it or anything you want to share about it. There is always a story to tell. We will provide drinks. Like last year we are asking everyone to bring some food to share with the group for lunch. Cost will be $5 per person to pay for use of the building. We will start with a meet and greet about 11:00 AM, with lunch at noon. Then start the mini at 1:00 PM and be over by 4:00 PM Matthew & I look forward to seeing everyone. Ralph Priest 18
Thanks Andy and Matt! I'll certainly be there. Would you consider allowing members to do demonstrations and Q&A's? I have a topic that I would like to see covered: integrating pixels in to a show--especially for LOR users.
Andy Anderson 25
Yes, we would welcome that. With all the experience we have in attendance we should be able to get most questions answered. Any volunteers?
Al Saunders 19
Hi VA folks, the Yankee from MD will be at the mini again this year. I'll be sure to bring my BBQ meatballs again. As for the pixel topic in relation to LOR I can help but I'm no expert but will be glad to try and answer any questions to the best of my ability. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Ralph Priest 18
And I have another idea for our gathering. Some of us, me included, have items we are looking to sell; if we can include this "yard sale" feature, our members may be able to save money on shipping.

We can dedicate a table or more if enough items are brought for sale. I am sure a lot of attendees have stuff they are not using and would like to sell to get more money to buy other Christmas items. Ralph Priest 18
I'm interested in selling a large JOY wireframe from Lowe's, pro quality LED snowflakes, wireframe flowers, Dept. 56 North Pole Village pieces and two, signed Steinbach miniature nutcrackers. Oh--and my wife's dog.

Ralph Priest 18
Howdy friends, with the Va. Mini date drawing ever closer, I would like to ask if anyone else is interested in having a "Yard Sale" feature this year? To see what I have to sell, please see my previous post. I don't have anything to sell, but I think it's a not bad idea. Even if it's informal, I have no issue seeing things being offered.
Andy Anderson 25
Just two weeks until the mini. We will have a table set up for anyone wanting to sell something. If you have something you are not using go ahead and bring it to sell or trade or whatever. This is your mini. What ever you want Matthew and I will try to accommodate. The attendees are the ones who make the mini successful. Matthew and I are looking forward to seeing everyone again this year at the mini.

Ralph Priest 18
As I have previously posted,I have several items that I would like to sell; most are fairly small, but the JOY wireframe(Lowe's) is huge, so I won't bring it unless someone is seriously interested. This one is new--never out of the box.
