although I have not been a collector very long, and as I have said in other posts I only collected to supply a few senior citizen neighbors with decorations that I can rotate between houses year after year and keep a fresh look. I guess I am fortunate to have picked up the 30 or so molds that I have now.

Hey Don, have a nativty set for sale....come on up lolol....I know you need it :)

Big J, I am holiday/decoration poor!!! lol, between the neighborhood project, me buying every LED thats not nailed down, AND kicking off the zombie hoard thats gonna invade my yard in October......I am broke. But, Im sure that if you time it just right you will have no problem selling off a Nativity Scene. I need to follow your lead and start repainting some stuff, building mini trees, building mega trees, building arches, ............. ahhhhhhh heck with it, Ill do it tomorrow!:D

Terrible news, by the time I started collecting molds empire was gone along with tpi and union shortly after. I guess just happy general was able to provide me with a lot of great molds, this is unfortunately the end of new molds it seems, rip gf you will be missed

While it may be the end of GFP. There may still be some hope with Cado. Time will tell. Surely won't be any "new" molds anytime soon thoigh.

Lets hope someone comes in and buys the molds from GFP. I am sure CADO could do it.

I think we should all start contacting CADO/Union Products to contact GFP so they can settle a deal :-)

Cado and General Foam have already been in contact and only time will tell if anything will result from that.

So CADO would be the only possible company making them? If not, no more new blow molds?  Does that mean I can sell my 200 molds for 1,000,000 on EBAY? [emoji4]

Really hope that was a joke lol, Cause the eBay people have already began their ridiculous prices.

Dang it!  I just checked my bank account and I only have $999,999.50.  I'll go check between the seats in my truck.  LOL!

It's the new lottery, Richard.  Blow Molding for Dollars!  Funny but sad at the same time.

Oh no!  What terrible news!  Say it isn't so!  I had not heard anything about this until now.  I'll reply to some of the posts later after I have time for this to sink in...

Don't be so sad Ted.  I'm already plotting my life of crime.  This will be my new hobby to support my old hobby.  Now let's see, how many Shell Gas Stations  will it take to get some Polorons this week.  LOL!

Or to stock up on everything you might want from Gen Foam before the end of the year!

True.  I guess I'll have to give up my plans, now that you have brought me back to sanity.  I was going to call myself "The Blow Mold Bandit" and wear a Santa Claus disguise.  My gun was going to be painted red and white like a candy cane.  Ho, Ho, Ho this is a stickup! Santa needs some new molds!

Listen up everybody.  I found out what the truth about GFP closing is.  They told me that sales and demand has nothing to do with it.  Their sales have been doing very well as well as the demand.  They know that a lot of people like their products.  I'm praying for them to find a new company.  I think Cado will buy all the pieces.  Cado is open to new ideas and suggestions.  They own all of Union and TPI blow molds too!  GFP expanded too rapidly.  Call GFP customer service at 1-855-277-0085. We should contact them and tell them that this isn't good.

Oh you're back. Calling them and begging them to remain open won't help. The owners of GFP have made up their minds. It has to deal with costs. I chatted with the CFO once I received the letter.
The hope is someone will buy them and continue their line. For now though the only thing that's certain is GF is closing at the end of the year. Layoffs begin next month.
