Abuck 0
HiI am looking to do custom lighting on my house this year. I purchased many 100 bulb C9 LED strands. I want to splice in lengths of wire between bulbs where I don't want lights. What wire would be required to do this? My lights are 22 gauge 3 wire lights. The only 22 gauge wire I can find is CL2 or CL3 rated. Is it ok to use that wire outside for LED lights. I know that I can not remove or add bulbs to a strand. I am just looking to add extra wire between existing bulbs.
timpwk 8
When I did this I simply cut wire from the old incan sets I was getting rid of and used that to splice my LEDs to the lengths I needed. I retro fitted many old metal silouette figures and needed to add length to allow for the folding of legs, etc. for storage. Had no issues ever.
