  • The original Rudolph did not have a red nose. In that day and age, red noses were seen as an indicator of chronic alcoholism and Montgomery Ward didn’t want him to look like a drunkard. To complete the original picture, he was almost named Reginald or Rollo.

  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.

When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  1. I just found the Download to make LOR controller work with Vixen! I hope it works good because Personally I think I like Vixen better.:giggle: Call me crazy, but I'm just looking in to it for next year.:giggle: Thank

  4. Were about in Plainview do you live so we can come over and see your display? Got all my lights up today but I need to tweak some sequences a little. Hoping Friday to be up and running.

  9. I had the same problem with my snowman, so I shot a little WD-40 in the motor and it been working sense:)
  10. Thanks for the help I have two LOR units I'm still putting the 2nd one together I build a parallel box 2 years ago and run it with Vixen works great but doesn't dim So I thought I would try LOR
  11. well it works do you think I will problems assigning more controllers?
  12. try "Set New Unit ID" with "Ignore Errors" selected. It said ID was change but unable to verify going to see if it works

Hi I just got my CTB16PC kit together and plug it all in and it find the COM and the led is solid but when I try to set the ID it said ( Unable to locate unit to change address check connection and power) I run thought it with the soldering iron again and the same thing hope you can help. Thank Mike
