  1. Site is saying that the Coop is closed and gives no info ;(
  2. Dmoore from your website it states that this can be used to run LOR This controller can be used as a "dongle" for DMX output in xLights (which plays LOR sequences). Works with LOR S3 but the address is shifted by one channel - we are working with LOR to correct this problem. but I can not get it to do anything with a sequence help please
  3. Well I got my lights from Holidaycoro and very pleased with them, everything is working fine until I try to use them with my LOR. this is due to communications problems, LOR being non standard Cat 5 cables. Is there any reason that I can not take and make a cable that moves the data signal from what LOR uses to what is standard orange, orange/white. deleting all other pairs, so that their is no cross talk or fead back. Has anyone tried this and will it work?
  4. OK, my turn I am also new to the RGB lighting and want to add it to my display ASAP but like others money is a problem so CCRs are out for now (unless I win the loto), And yes I too was a Band member when in high school, so I tend to pick the music apart, so RGB is the way for me to do what I want and not just watch strings of lights go around and around... I see that some a talking about Nutcracker and also Lynx, I need something that will work with my LORS that I currently use, if I get enough RGB sets build then the LORs go to my also trumpet playing son-in-law. (yes the whole family
  5. Ok getting some understanding of rgb and what I want Crusing thru the different forums I saw one persons mega tree with 16 50 light strings each light qas programable so he could do multiple effects, which is what I am going for. I currently use LORs so as you know 1 string that waa fine till I saw what can be accomplished with the rgb lighting, I will need DIY so that I can keep the cost down. What do I need as far as rgbs (they will be outdoors) controllers to interface with LOR and power supplies.
  6. OK I am thinking of adding RGB lights to my display but what I need is information, I know that my choices are either CCR or DMX I current use and have the LOR controllers and know that this will be in addition to those controllers and will be able to use the software to control the lights, What I am looking at doing for now is strings of lights that I can do a run (like the CCRs) Help please, I am looking at other websites to get info as well, what do you all recommend and an inexpensive place to get the hardware soldering is not a problem for me I was trained in the AF
  7. I have no stories like the ones above, but in the week that it took my son (26) his friend, myself and a couple of neighbors to put up we kept seeing this one van come around, finally they stoped and I asked what was going on, I was told that the kids were wondering when the lights were coming on, told them when we started the shows and saw that van many a time, Found out thought the 3 years that this is as much for the comunity as it is for me. Keep Christ in Christmas always
  8. Taking the time to rethink the display, will keep the mega tree and 10 mini's as well as the 2 arches, just not sure that I will have the poles in the middle of the arches this yea may take and add a channel and colored lights to the mini's Also see people talking about RGB lights for thier display, is this a flood or rope type lights?
  9. Well my show was up and running for about 4 days then one part of two parts of one string of lights stays on, what they are are the Holiday lights 100 ct LED strings the first and last sections stay on all the time, the other part of it goes with the sequence. The LOR controller is one where you put in the power plugs and the rest of it is running fine. Any idea's

    Led Floods

Just went to Lowes today and they have some new LED floodlights, selling here in my area for about $10, not sure how bright they are, but worth checking out
  12. Anyone know if they are bringing the coupons back this year?
  13. ok have another controller on order and awaiting arrivial for arches this year, can not do much as I have a very small yard. I am planning on 2 arches single color, after reading several of the post here, now and in the past, I saw where someone used a cable on the base of the arch to keep it bent, also why does everyone say 2 x 7 channels when you have 8 channels an arch, Also want to know how to do the splash pools. Thanks no time like not to start planning and building
  14. Are all thoses that posted for last year up again this year, I know mine are. If so let us know so we can come and see them, love the nav system on my Driod
