About my display
I am a novice when it comes to exterior lighting. I hung my first string of lights (outdoors) in 2008. In '09 I added a couple blow molds, multi-colored net lights over the bushes, and lighted candy canes up the sidewalk. I am still working on ideas for this year and beyond.

I am!! Haven't gotten the Halloween stuff down yet, but I'm planning to begin the transition this weekend!!

You don't happen to know where I can find an instruction manual do you?

I finally found a garage sale with blow molds! I picked the pair of these up for $4. Seems like a decent deal to me!

LOL @ "african american". How the heck do you know their continent of origin?

Am I missing something here?

I am lucky that most of my stuff is up near the house where it's been partly covered by awnings. I have bigger plans for 2011, and I'm remaining optimistic that this year was the exception and not the rule when it comes to December snowfall. Next year, I will be MUCH more impacted by a deep snow. I'm thinking I may just prepare anyway, and figure out a way to display stuff elevated in some way.

I have such a tiny little yard, most of my stuff is right near the house anyway, but it still can't be seen from the road with the huge snow berms that have been created, and the huge drift across the yard. I dug out my bushes in front of the house, and now the pile in my yard is even higher! I told my wife I want to go buy an LED spiral tree and put it right up on top of the snow pile in the front yard...in defiance of the snow!!! also...my son broke all 3 of my walkway lights "helping" me remove the snow.

Kinda looks like a tiki hut. It works though! Nice job. I want to do a Nativity as well. Hopefully next year.
