  1. I am!! Haven't gotten the Halloween stuff down yet, but I'm planning to begin the transition this weekend!!
  2. You don't happen to know where I can find an instruction manual do you?
  3. I finally found a garage sale with blow molds! I picked the pair of these up for $4. Seems like a decent deal to me!
  4. LOL @ "african american". How the heck do you know their continent of origin?
  5. Am I missing something here?
  6. Lame. Would have liked to see the pics.
  7. I can't even see anything.
  8. Crap...I thought I knew how I was going to make my minis this year, but now I have no idea!!! Wait, I mean I have a LOT of ideas!!
  9. I am lucky that most of my stuff is up near the house where it's been partly covered by awnings. I have bigger plans for 2011, and I'm remaining optimistic that this year was the exception and not the rule when it comes to December snowfall. Next year, I will be MUCH more impacted by a deep snow. I'm thinking I may just prepare anyway, and figure out a way to display stuff elevated in some way.
  10. I have such a tiny little yard, most of my stuff is right near the house anyway, but it still can't be seen from the road with the huge snow berms that have been created, and the huge drift across the yard. I dug out my bushes in front of the house, and now the pile in my yard is even higher! I told my wife I want to go buy an LED spiral tree and put it right up on top of the snow pile in the front yard...in defiance of the snow!!! also...my son broke all 3 of my walkway lights "helping" me remove the snow.
  11. Kinda looks like a tiki hut. It works though! Nice job. I want to do a Nativity as well. Hopefully next year.
  12. That looks awesome! Living in MN, I don't think I could even do that! Snow-covered in no time.
  13. Ugh...I'm planning to use C9s along my roofline next year, and I am already thinking of what might be the best way to attach them. I don't have overhang, so I need good shingle/gutter clips. I want to make sure they look nice and uniform, so right now, I have no idea what I'm going to use. I've never hung anything up there before. 2011 is the year!!
  14. Yeah...one cool thing about this area: you don't really need a map. Just load up and drive around. You'll see some good displays.
  15. Since I've been planning for 2011 for a couple months now, I just keep telling myself that this is an "exception", it's not the rule. If I had everything up that I am planning for NEXT year, I'd be a LOT more disappointed/angry. I sure hope enough folks decide to dig out a bit because we are still planning to bring the boys around town to see lights!!
  16. Do you guys go out after the snow and trample down the snow? I'm looking outside, and my walkway lights are completely buried. My candy canes are sticking out about 8 inches. Luckily my blow molds are under my window awnings next to the house.
  17. They all look good to me. I really wanted a Nativity this year, but the budget wouldn't allow it.
  18. I don't think so, but I'm no expert.
  19. So...what do you do with all the yard lights that get buried in snow? Do you dig them out? I'm even wondering about things like a Nativity? Do people generally go out and stomp down the snow, or what???
  20. Yeah...this weekend appears to be a wash. Heavy snow Saturday, followed by a high of 1 degree on Sunday. YUK!!!
  21. Well...with this new wave of weather, I am betting many of you guys have done about all you're gonna do this year, huh??
