  1. Has any one found color caps for the M5 LEDs? I ordered some color caps and they are to short. Thanks, Mike
  2. Thankyou to Nancy Foley, the organizers, the presenters, the sponsors, and all those that attended the PacNW Clap. What a day of treatment for the CLAP!!!
  3. I am interested in getting a fog machine. I would like one where the heater is on when pluged in and the fog pump can be controlled by LOR controller. I am willing to get something of reasonable quality. I have read some various forums about hacking some machines and got lost in the techno speak. Can any one let me know what has worked for them or why they like such and such a setup? Thanks, Mike
  4. OK This happens only when the computer is turned on, show not enabled yet and it is tripping the gfci breaker on a completely different circuit. The only problem during the show was a gfci that would not reset and had to replace the gfci receptacle. Thanks, Mike
  5. Hi, How are you attaching light strings to the hook heads? When attaching guy wires would there be an advantage to mounting them about 3/4 up instead of at the top? How about a portable hole from a tire filled with concrete, roll it anywhere? Thanks for your input. Mike
  6. Hi all Iam taking down my inflatables fo the season cleaning them up replacing burned out bulbs and hanging them up to dry. As I change out bulbs I only have a few incans left and am thinking about going to LEDs. I guess my question is that is the bulb guard still necessary with the LED? Thanks , Mike
  7. Finished new shop this year set everything up to run show out of there (it has heat). Here is the curious thing I ran into when got ready get the show running. I had run the laptop in the shop without a surge protector for searches down loads etc before show time with no problems. Come show time I added a surge protector cause I leave laptop on 24/7 during show season. The circiut is protected by a GFCI recepticle. Here is where it gets interesting....... when I turn on the laptop it trips the GFI "BREAKER" for my light curcuit in the panel. Once the laptop is on I can go to the panel reset the breaker and evry thing is fine. Just to be clear these are two seperate circuits Any thoughts?? Mike
  8. Check smarthome.com they might have something that might help.
  9. Hi all, I got a fixture with a lot of mini lights used. Am starting to replace bulbs that are not working. I have a light keeper to help me but this is what is happening..... I find a bulb that is burned out in asection that is not lighting up replace the bulb the light keeper says the bulb works the socket has power so I plug the bulb in that section lights up but that bulb does not light up. My first guess is a voltage problem as in proper bulb for the voltage available, any idea on how to check bulbs for what voltage they are designed for? Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks, Mike
  10. Hi all, I am at a point in some new construction and thought about a weather tight permanent way to get speaker wires and cat5 cable and what ever for the future from inside to outside. Any thoughts, what are you doing in this area? Thanks for the input. Mike
  11. Hi all, I see people using pictures for their "photo" but every time I try to change my photo (avatar?) I get the "file to large" message. I am probably doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  12. You need to figure out how much power you need where. There are some spread sheets out there to help you figure that out. Each of my controllers is going to pull less than 4amps so a a few 20 amp curcuit can go a long ways(I will be about 98% LED for 2012).
  13. I am not as DIY as you guys but I would think that if you can come up with a way to take the strain off of the controller board its self if a power cord, cat5 or light string got pulled for what ever reason would be a good thing. Mike
  14. I would still like to find more of these pathway markers. Thanks, Mike
  15. Check out these cables at frontx.com/panelmount they are not real cheap aren't marked in and out come in different lengths and would make for a secure custom job!
  16. I don't have any pictures yet and I am using C-7 but I am going to try vinyl "J" it 12.5 feet long and will hold 51 bulbs each at 2 15/16 inch spacing. PMK
  17. I understand May 11 & 12 in Olympia, check with "zman" for details. Mike
  18. I love Planet Christmas especially the forums. What frustrates me the most is when I try to refind something that has been posted and can't or it takes forever. Maybe the process is already there and just can't find it (can't get it to take my photo either so probably just me!). Mike
  19. CDI has green LED net lights with green wire, pre season sale over but give Paul a call. Mike
  20. My plugs are from CDI and I don'y know about exteremly difficult but they are two handers which I think is a good thing. I tried using the silicone grease on the female end to possibly help seal water didn't this year, to pressed for time.
  21. Seasonal Entertainment talks about their Rainbow Spot for underwater use
  22. Check out www.lightsforriley.com/sequences.html Nick has been extremely generous. Mike
  23. Last year I moved the meter off my house (200amp service) Put up a new 400 amp meter base 10 feet from the transformer (200 amps to house and 200 amps to new shop), I had to pay for new meter base, disconects all mounting and conduit as far as first sweep out of meter base and still had to pay $1555.00 to "help with costs" ( 1 sweep,4 feet 3" conduit, about 15 feet of wire and about 2 hours labor I had to make all conduit cuts for them because their batteries were dead so watch out for "Engineering time")
  24. Do you have any pictures so that I know they are the same as what I have now and any idea what you will want for them? Thanks Mike
