1. I also want the thank JM... If he wouldn't given such technical info I may of never knew the right questions to ask the radio shop... Thanks JM...
2. Wow... This new antenna is awesome.. I was driving home from the town Christmas parade tonight and I could pick up the music before I cold see my house. That is more than I hoped for. I might put signs in my neighbors yard telling visitors to tune in to 107.5 FM... If you have antenna issues copy what I did... It works..
3. Problem solved... This is how I did it... I hope this helps anyone with a similar issue.. I work at the Kennedy Space Center so I went to the radio shop and spoke to a antenna pro. They did some math and told me I needed to cut the antenna wire to approx. 4' 3.5". This is tuned to broadcast on 107.5 FM which is the station I use. 107.7 FM is the 24hr Christmas station so visitors will only have to go down a notch to tune in. I painted a piece of PVC black and taped the 4' 3.5" antenna wire vertically to it. Then mounted it to a shrub in my front yard. It
4. What do you mean by 1/4 to 1/2 wave? I didn't quite understand the link you posted, Is there any way you could help me understand this?
5. Ok... I'm still having issues. I have my laptop running the show. It is sitting just inside the garage door. The FM transmitter is powered by the laptop via USB. I have the antenna running under the garage door and up to the top of the door. I have a knot tied in the end and it is hanging on a nail. The music can only be heard directly in front of the driveway. Last year it could be heard much further. The signal is much stronger when the garage door is open and when I pinch the antenna in certain places. I am thinking about extending the antenna wire and running it up a pvc pole or a s
6. I solved this issue by just continuing to wrap lights but I would love to still get this question answered because this is not the first time I have had this issue. The string is 100 lights. Any help would be great. Hope you like my new Mega tree...
7. I made a star for the top of my new Mega tree and I misjudged how many lights it would take. Is there a way to cut these wires so the lights will still work? I have attached a pic so you can see where I need to cut.
8. I have one of those whole house transmitters (gold edition). This year it is awfully static. Not sure what is going on. Does anyone have and advice on how to get better range out of a FM transmitter. Like the best way to position the antenna or a way to boost the signal? Any help would be greatly appreciated..
