  1. Pythagorean Theorem - a2 + b2 = c2. Spacing between strands depends on how big the circumferential of you base is. Last year i used a 9' diameter base, and the distance between strands was about 3"-4". PM me if you want more details.

    Mega Tree

Just be careful with your .22. Those type of bulbs can have mercury inside.
  3. Funny, I've been living in orlando for 16yrs and have never been there. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  4. I ditto their customer service. Two years ago in March we went up there for vacation and bought some ornaments and had them shipped back to our house in FL. The box was never opened until December when we went to decorate our tree. We found one of the ornaments didn't make it all the way intact. One phone call to them, and they had a new one shipped out and at our house within three days, no questions asked. Bronners is the best, and I've been going there ever since i was a baby.
  5. Same here. Last year was our first year animated, and I was able to produce four sequenced songs, eight arches, mega tree, built my Holdman Star. This year, I barely had enough time to sequence two songs, and the only thing different i did to the display was add red and green to the mega tree and made it bigger. 2012 was a hectic year personally for us. Hopefully 2013 will be better.
  6. There is also an RGB group on facebook with some useful information and resources https://www.facebook.com/groups/487541507963007/
  7. Allot has used the Reflections of Earth soundtrack from Epcot. Its hard to find the track, but enough PCers have done it, i'm sure a simple request can land one in your email. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFJ9KGf-AYE
  8. This is our second year going animated. This show consists of a 128 channel LOR network with a 64 channel mega tree consisting of red and green. Four leaping arches with eight sections each, and about 50% of the display is LED.
  9. This is one of the new songs that was added to our 2012 show. It was a big hit with the neighbors. We expect this is to return for our 2013 show.
  10. Put me down for this year! Thanks Michael Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

    Orlando Displays

Me too! Now I have to choose where we will have time to take the family to go see.
  14. Here is an article that features some Orlando displays. It also features several PC members as well. http://orlandolocalguide.com/christmas-lights-displays-in-orlando-neighborhoods-and-homes/
  15. I used the same one last year. It worked out good till it got hit by lighting. I bought a Ramsey and now I wish I bought a ramsey sooner. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Mine has done that about once or twice a year. I found that a shutdown of my computer for a night to give it some rest helps. In the next year or two, i'm going to switch to the MP3 director
  17. Ok, I didn't see this until now. But as you have probably seen, my magnolias are rather young, so i just strung them with RGW together, i wrapped it going up horizontally, then I wrapped them going vertically. Last year I used Net Lights on them. They looked good, but I used the nets on my new shrubs this year.
  18. Thanks. Now where can I buy them? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  19. sounds like vimeo will be hosting my future videos.
  20. Ok, I know they are around the internet somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find them. I'm looking at doing some Coro Stars (http://www.christmaswonders.com/Coro_Star.html) for next year, and I want to use mini RGB strips to light them from the inside, but I can't find the website to where I can buy them. Does anyone know where I can get them?
  21. Lol. That was my thought as well. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  22. I'm sure everyone has run into the "copyright" police when posting their videos on youtube. It seems like they have relaxed a bit in recent years, however, you can't seem to view them on your mobile device because "the user did not make this available for mobile". In order to do so, you have the change the syndication, however on my videos it doesn't give me any options to change it. Has anyone found a work around for this? What/how did you do it?
  23. wow, just came across your post when doing a search for you Calvin. I was generating a list of displays for a neighbor and wanted to make sure you were still doing one, since i was going off of the FL Planet Christmas directory. (It can be a little outdated sometimes). I will be sure to bring my family next week! We really enjoyed seeing Judy when she came two years ago
  24. I ditto Lowes here in FL. We went there yesterday to exchange a box of solid green, and they had NONE left. Lowes really skimped on their stock this year. Even last year they had some red and green, but they were gone by the first week of December.
  25. I spent half of my Saturday doing just that. I had just one song that did not want to cooperate with me
