  • My favorite Christmas story
is when I was ten and I got up in the middle of the night and found a Daisy BB gun beside the Christmas tree. Then when I awoke in the morning it was gone. Dad saw me go down the hall to the Christmas tree and knew I had seen the BB gun. He hid it from me to teach me a lesson. Boy, did I learn. Everyone got a big laugh from it except me!

  1. Well, they were good until it rained hard on them. I thought they were sealed enough, but I was wrong. I lost several strings of them. Guess, I learned an expensive lesson. But, received a lot of positive comments before the rains came to Central Florida. SO... be sure to seal them well if you buy any.
  2. AMEN! to that Sidetrack 73, couldn't said it any better. God Bless
  3. Great company and products, I used their patterns this past couple of years for nativity etc. Better get started soon myself, still have alot to do !!!
  4. Glenn, I have used 3" sheets of styrofoam (white) to make stone looking walls for stage shows. I used a heat gun to mold the foam edges for bolders and blocks and various spray paints for coloration. Careful with the heat gun though, it melts foam fast. Also, I used a sliding track that was mounted on the bolder to "roll" it away from tomb entrance. Start early and experiment for the look you want etc. God Bless.
  5. For my two cents: Orville, I for one also now live in Florida ( But, grew up in the North/Cold) and I think your idea of a hair dryer was a least good idea. You were trying to suggest a possible solution. I did not see another idea mentioned or suggestion given by anyone else. Keep up the good work of trying to assist others and offer your opinion.
  6. I use and like sealed lights. I haven't had any issues with them. I have bought and use Holiday Light Express and Magic in the Sky lights and have been very pleased with both.
  7. Michael you can count me in. I am from Ocala. I met you at J'ville mini
  8. I have used it the last two years and love it. I like it because I can use my computer to change sequences etc. while the show it playing. I make changes on the fly with another SD card, just takes a few minutes to adjust quantity of songs and then change out.
  9. I also use 1 1/2 turns for the past two years. I tried 2 turns but did not like the look as well.
  10. Lauren, You need to just wind the three strings together to make what is called a super string. Or : You can use twist ties or zip ties to bundle them together. Then it is easier to handle and hang. Hope this helps.
  11. My answer to the question is simple for me and my family. We want to show our Joy and Respect to remember Our Lord Jesus Christ's birth. Our display has always had a Nativity of one type or another. The hand picked songs that we use are intended to point all to the King of Glory and what he has done for everyone. Our family goal is that everyone remembers to keep CHRIST as the true reason we celebrate.
  12. Well, last year 6 songs and this year 14. But, my songs are 2 to 3 minutes tops. I have found that variety is good for local folks. It really depends on your viewers and YOUR likes. You have to do the sequencing in the future and listen/change effects. MUCH Easier if you like/love the songs.
  13. I use the wide angle conical and not the dome type. I feel they are better, but I use warm white and blue. I like the contrast better. I have learned that in the past Not To Buy the HD brand lights because there are problems with fading.. I buy from Lowe's, GE etc and haven't had problems.
  14. VTXrider, do you ride a 1300 or 1800cc. I have been looking at both but have not pulled the trigger yet. PM and we can talk if you don't mind.
  15. I know what you mean! My wife asked me how much does it cost to make the arches. Now ," we' are going on vacation to Arizona in two weeks from Florida because we haven't ever been out west and " I " have alway's wanted to go out west. Gotta Love Her. But, she is a wonderful wife and even helps me measure SPT wire and put on the vampire plugs. Keep on praising her and get the Honey do's done quickly . God Bless.
