Did you know?
  • The original Rudolph did not have a red nose. In that day and age, red noses were seen as an indicator of chronic alcoholism and Montgomery Ward didn’t want him to look like a drunkard. To complete the original picture, he was almost named Reginald or Rollo.
  • The Christmas wreath was originally hung as a symbol of Jesus. The holly represents his crown of thorns and the red berries the blood he shed.
  • The three traditional colors of most Christmas decorations are red, green and gold. Red symbolizes the blood of Christ, green symbolized life and rebirth, and gold represents light, royalty and wealth.
  • Tinsel was invented in 1610 in Germany and was once made of real silver.
  • The oldest artificial Christmas trees date back to the late 1800s and were made of green raffia (think grass hula skirts) or dyed goose feathers. Next the Addis Brush Company used their machinery that wove toilet brushes to create pine-like branches for artificial Christmas trees that were less flammable and could hold heavier decorations.
  • ‘Jingle Bells’ – the popular Christmas song was composed by James Pierpont in Massachusetts, America. It was, however, written for thanksgiving and not Christmas.
  • Coca-Cola was the first company that used Santa Claus during the winter season for promotion.
  • Hallmark introduced their first Christmas cards in 1915.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.
  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.

  1. The coro floods are have 30 true rgb leds which at any angle are one color. I also have a dc controler 119.00 for 16 ch. Or the dmx 8.94 for 3 ch or 15 ch for 44.70 + enttec open at arround 70.00 about the same $. The DMX worked the best for me.
  2. The http://www.holidaycoro.com/RGB-Flood-Light-p/171.htm seems brighter. I am not sure on the backround mine is light color. Go to his web sight watch his viedos they will have most of your answers. He will also respond to any ?. I cant say enough abou his service.
  3. I use a reel cart, I got mine at the flee market for 30.00. If you can get some empty wire reels lowes or home depot. Take two saw horses and a pipe then just roll then up. I put 6 reels on mine a mark the reels with length. Set up s great You just walk the cord back out, never tangles.
  4. If you just want to get your feet wet. Try http://www.holidaycoro.com/RGB-Sample-Pack-3-p/35.htm for 50.00 it will get you started and there are videos how to.
  5. You will use a 2nd dongle or usb port 1 for lor and 1 for dmx With one controller you can use his http://www.holidaycoro.com/product-p/54-2.htmbut with three or more controllers you have to get a enttec dmx open http://www.enttec.com/index.php?main_menu=Products&pn=70303&show=description&name=opendmxusb I got mine off ebay for 55.00 and free shipping. Also you will need a adapter http://www.holidaycoro.com/product-p/cable-5xlr-cat5.htm so 70.00 will work for 512 channels or 170 9.00 dollar 3 channel controlers. All I did at the cat 5 connections was use Corrosion X http://www.holidaycoro.com/product-p/misc-diaeletric-spray.htm Never had one failer or tripped gfi. We had 4 heavy rains and 6 in of snow. He has a video for everything and his support is great any ? he is online alot and his web sight tells you when he is there.
  6. Look at http://www.holidaycoro.com/RGB-Flood-Light-p/171.htm they use 3 channel dmx controller that works great. If you build your own home depot has enclosures for 6.88 http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-203082160/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=work+light&storeId=10051 I have both rainbow and holidaycoro rgb flood I like the rgb flood better and I use the dmx controller with the rainbow floods. You can use a conroller for each flood or or one 8.94 controller for all your floods if you want them to be the same. If you have LOR S3 programing is simple.
  7. I like http://www.holidaycoro.com he has a sample pack that will get you started. I ran 6 coro trees 20 coro stars and 8 floods. We had alot of rain and they were flawless.
