  1. It's been a while since I've been here... I think I'm gonna try to do something this year after a three year absence from this hobby... Hope everyone is doing well...
  2. LOR 1602 Controller for sale. $220 plus cost of shipping (your choice of method please)... Email or PM... Thanks!!
  3. Our thoughts go out to you during this time of mourning. Let us know where the trust fund is being set up.
  4. OH!!! BMG!!!! That's funny because we were going to use that for our "outdoor" light show!!!!
  5. Did they consider gift wrapping it for ya? LOL!!!
  6. Are you talking about the guy with the water show?
  7. DANG! I paid full price, but we've been enjoying it for a month now...
  8. Here's the sine wave if you need it. http://deadlikemeonline.com/media/sine.wav
  9. The Tunecast II will turn off when it's not transmitting sound. It should turn on automatically when you start your light show, if you start it loud enough. In my audio startup, I generated a five second sine wave that goes off to turn it on. Regardless, you will have to keep music going through it to keep it on. Now, if you run down to Radio Shack (this is what I did), they'll find the AC adapter plug to go into it and attach it to a universal transformer. Trust me, you don't want batteries, and if you havn't done it yet, do the antenna mod.
  10. Yeah, the easiest way is to burn a CD with iTunes, Rip it with Media Player and use Audacity to convert it to wav.

  12. Hahaha! I did that the first year too!!
  13. I have both types from Darryl. The C9 base and the plugged curtain strobe. Of the 42 Strobes I bought and used in 06, about 10 of them are fairly shot after using them this year. I like the C9 strobes from Christmas Light Show, and will continue to buy them. But, you have to be careful how you use them. They're not watertight, nor are they water resistant. Be sure to add some extra silicone caulking around the lenses.
  14. It's always good to buy extra. There's a small chain here in Florida called "City Electric". I gave them a 'heads up' on the approximate 3000' that I was going to order. So, they shipped in 750' a week until my needs were met. I think I only paid 19 cents a foot too. It's always good to work with someone local.
  15. I didn't realize that Jeff put pictures on the previous page. Just to illustrate where to cut that notch to pass the wire through the vamp plug. Same process for either male or female vamp plugs.
  16. Yeah, see... I learned that last year. It's best to buy a bunch from Action and not wait. It's funny that this thread popped back up because my post (on page one) really showed how green I was back then. Amazing what a year does to one's soul in this hobby!!
  17. On one side of the vamp plug, there's a space for the wire to come out from under the plug cap. Cut a notch on the opposite side to allow the cord to run through the plug, instead of ending it inside the plug. Be sure to attach the end plug first, then butt the modified plug right up to it. I do this when I have several strings of the same channel that I need to run, like my roof. My roof has three sets of three strings, so instead of creating a fire hazard, I made a cord with this type of "piggybacked" plugs.
  18. You can use PVC, just thicker PVC (like 1") with a Tee in the top of each and a short "bridge" piece between the arch's for support. Use rebar in the lawn to attach the PVC. Cap each end and drill a hole EXACTLY the same size as the rebar. Hammer the rebar into the lawn on each side of the driveway, slightly angled towards the middle. I saw a huge arch on the internet. That thing was about 50' wide, I think. I'll have to look for it...
  19. I'm not sure if this includes the LED's, but it's not a bad deal on the regular mini's...
  20. Walgreens just dropped their lights to buy one get one free. FYI...
  21. Our Lowes is completely out. Home Depot getting there too. My best deals are always at walgreens, after Christmas.
