• About my display
I've been hanging lights for the past 20 years. Computerized (is that a word?) my display for the 2006-2007 season.
1. I saw the two of you chatting. I had a feeling that some interesting designs could be coming to the lighting community as a result of it.
2. You might want to spend some time reading the tutorials on the LOR website. - http://www.lightorama.com/w_support.htm Scroll down to the section titled "Using the Software - Flash Tutorials and Demos". I found them very useful when I was starting out.
3. All of my controllers are out in the elements. They are powered on during setup and remain powered till tear-down.

A big Thanks

Carrie, Where to start. I'll share that on Friday evening I told the two men in your life they were saints for graciously welcoming all of us into your/their home. Truly they deserve kudos for that. My approach in attending ANY conference is that if I come back with a SINGLE new idea it was a good conference. I have attended two conferences and in each case, I have had difficulty sleeping Saturday night because of all of the ideas that are churning around in my mind. A number of those ideas have evolved into things that have made it into my display. It is due to your work I gotten to meet some wonderful people who are more than willing to exchange knowledge and ideas. By organizing these events you have gone above and beyond and I for one owe you a great debt. Thanks most sincerely, Tom
5. My vote is in. Hoping to be there for pizza but could be a little beyond 5:00. Thinking of attending the afternoon game at Wrigley.
6. I've heard you might be getting Surly.
7. Nope, it is a larger town. Maybe more along the lines of Mount Pilot.
8. Would you care to put numbers around what is meant by - "a ton of people"?
9. I'm bringing this:
10. Mark, I replied over at DIYLA also. I am bringing a Version 5 Lynx Express to show off to another attendee who was intrigued by the concept of the onboard snubbers. I will have a DMX dongle (along with an iDMX) that we can use to see how things are working. I also plan to bring a combination of RJ's V1 and V2 wireless devices. Rumor also has it RJ is going to try to get an Aether so we can take a look at it as well. Tom
11. Just watching this will be worth the trip.
12. Take it from the guy who was first in line to eat, I'm going to vote for the pulled-pork. Although I am perfectly fine with brats, burgers and the rest. How is that for decisive?
13. Hotel reservations are made and registration is in.
14. Any chance of getting UT and Coach Fran to attend this event? I'm sure they would have a good time.
