8. Corel VideoStudio Pro is definitely a great program. It can render quality HD videos with decent effects, and the overlay tracks allow you to easily add multiple angles of your display and cut where you wish. It is definitely my editor of choice over others like Pinnacle (HD rendering is pretty bad and the transititons are a bit tacky) and Windows Movie Maker (very limiting, period). I can't tell you how Sony Vegas compares as I've not used it long enough to be able to form an opinion. Unless you own a licence and already know how to use Adobe Premiere then in my view the software is way ou
9. Hi SPaschall, You'll be best to navigate to http://www.planetchristmas.com/signatures/ and use the form to generate an updated channel count image.
10. Hi there is an article with some instructions for bypassing the 8-function controllers on the AusChristmasLighting wiki (link). There is a chat room, forums and video gallery available to use too. Come and say hi - I'm a LORer too Regarding static lights - I place an order with an Adelaide business called Starlight Warehouse. They sell me completed lengths of 24v leds in 10,12 or 24 metre lengths without a multifunction adapter. Some other people in Adelaide buy 50 metre cuttable light strings (1 metre cuttable) from the same business - these don't come with the necessary 240v adapter f
11. I think a red and gold style would look really smart - Christmasy but elegant too. Such as this (attached).. Mind you, Chuck has said he isn't a fan of red, so..
12. Unfortunately the settings for the maximum amount of images in one's profile has been changed to just 1, which means it isn't possible to add channel and light counts at the same time unless you convert them into your one image like flaloop did. Instead, I'm thinking that it should be investigated whether there can be a setting installed so that users can show/hide images from planetchristmas.com/signatures/ .. effectively means people can turn off the channel and light counts if they don't like them cluttering their forum browsing.
13. I'm no graphic & design guru, but I took to creating a simple recolour of the vB4 Default style. It uses no modified templates, just reconfigured colour and background css values, exportable to a single XML file. The main colours are red and gold, though I see chuck isnt so sure on red. Chuck (csmith) has my email with the file, but I thought I'd post a screenshot to see what you think. PS: When was the signature image limit reduced to one? Seems if I update it I can no longer make use of both of the channel & light count signature pics.
14. As long as you keep the same blend of white (cool white, warm white, clear, etc) for each section/element or what not, it should be fine! I've still got a mix of cool-white leds a clear incandescents. Observe: Mega Tree has cool-white LED minis, poles and windows have incandescent mini's.
