  • The original Rudolph did not have a red nose. In that day and age, red noses were seen as an indicator of chronic alcoholism and Montgomery Ward didn’t want him to look like a drunkard. To complete the original picture, he was almost named Reginald or Rollo.

Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  2. a gfci works when the currrent in the hot wire and netual wire has an imbalance of 4 ma which means the current is going to ground some way. thus tripping the GFCI. I use to work at paa and seymor building the GFCI internal parts.

  5. I am using 1600 lights per arch.....I have 8 of them.
  6. Use elctrical "GREY" PVC it will hold up to the weather better than white PVC 3/4 Grey 10' log can be bent into a 6' across arch 2 10' pieces can easy make a 12foot arche across. Use the grey, less brittel than the white 1/2 is a littel on the flex side. on 3/4 inch you can use 1/2 EMT condut will side right in side of it for you stakes. IF the end get musroomed over cut of the last 1" or so and it will side right over.
  7. 2 Inch angle iron frames 30" post going up, 18 in post going left to right and 2 18" legs. Has some wieght on this but work out great. will not blow over and easy to store in the shed.

  11. Will the BuZZ box work better on the leaping arches due to them being tightly wound close together??? Who has used the buzz box and what is the pro and cons of it?
  12. What is or who makes the best Mini light test on the market. I have 8 leaping arches and 2 of them have a few 1/2 section burned out. Trying to find a easy way to fix them beside un doing a whole section. Thanks Daniel Peck
  13. Lincon 175 is a good welding for around 500 buck out a race shop. Here in NC with all the race shops the cycle them out every 2 years for 1/2 price and still care a warranty on them.
  14. I work in the sign world and people keep pushing LED for signs and what not, but doing a price compairson to neon we found that a set of 48" FOOD LION letter would take 9 years be for the store would see a cut in the electric bill due to the startup cost of the leds, I have see leds signs catch on fire and one manufator here today and gone tomorrow. Still a tooooo new of a product, cost more to make the leds than a regular light bulb. Leds do have a diferent look thou............
