Prange's Department Store Windows Circa 1960
Rotatorman replied to The Blow Mold Expert's topic in Motorized Contraptions
Absolutely loved that. I didn’t live there, but in downtown Cleveland we had Higbee’s, who also had animated Christmas displays. What made your video so enjoyable was the music. And the Kresge store across the street did not go unnoticed. -
Now I wish I hadn’t sold those lights last year 😫. Thanks, Vegas Rich, for your insight.

Hoping the new Chinese tariffs don’t increase the cost of our Christmas lights and display items....

Tried again this morning. Disappointing. The site sends you to Ebay, and there is only one page of Xmas-related items not interesting to me.. Does anyone know if they are still in business?
-
Does anyone know when SeasonsLA takes orders? When you try to order Easter or Halloween items, a page comes up and says Safari can’t open that page. You’re supposed to be able to order Halloween items between January and April. Christmas items in April.

You cannot ignore bad wiring. Consider replacing it with 16ga wire. You can always take a sample of the defective wire to Lowe’s or HD and have them match it. Keep us updated, thnx. -

I would not remove the tinsel unless you plan to replace it or light up the basic frame, of which I have several Christmas-related trees, snowmen, etc. If you decide to remove the tinsel and use the basic frame, you have options: 1). Use LED rope lights, 2). Use LED strip lights, of which you can choose, through a remote controller, any color, or white; flashing , crawling, fading, 3). Or leave the tinsel on, and wrap colored lights around the tinsel. Taking a closer look at your stockings and Christmas trees, when they were originally wired, the positioning of the bulbs does not truly do justice to the actual shape and outline of the trees and stockings. Using rope lights, LED lights, or tube lights, attached to the frame with tie-wraps, will look awesome at night! -

Thank you for the info, Shane. Big J, did you get this? I love working on jobs like re-wiring. Those decorations are unique; so you can wire them any way you wish. Plz post pics when finished. -

Really like those Christmas trees. Instead of trying to locate sockets, can I suggest re-wiring with LED’S? So many color options. Plus, Christmas is still 10 mos. out... -
I forgot to add, they must be the twinkling net lights. Thnx.

I tried for over 45 minutes to shrink a picture to use in the Buy-Sell-Trade section of this forum to no avail. I was trying to post a WANTED ad for the Home Accents brand of cool white net lights, they come in a green-colored package of 70 lights, sold by Home Depot. If you or someone you know, or if a local HD still has some, please let me know, thnx. Willing to pay a fair retail price. Looking for 5 boxes. Thnx, [email protected]

I’ve had 2 of those motion spotlights (one Halloween, and one Christmas) that you stake in the ground and they put an image on your house go bad. The little motor still spins, but there is no light coming out. Anyone else have this happen, and is there a fix? I really liked the Christmas one, it was a Disney product, and it had colored Mickey-shaped heads.

Hey, Big J: superb, very nice. Diamondkilo: and I thought I was the only one with new, unopened boxes of Christmas lights.......

Hey Charlie, is that ear available?
-
Hey Charlie: I’m still very interested in buying the Goofy ear. What’s the latest? Thank you, scott
-
My address is 6231 Blueflower Ct. Lakewood Ranch Florida 34202. Please let me know final cost. Thnx, Charlie. Scott McKernan

OK, I’m interested. I am curious how you got an ear,, but if you got one, I’ll buy it. What is the final cost; and do you accept PayPal? I do have a new address, just moved to Florida. I’ll be waiting for your reply. Thnx, Scott
-
No, guys, the ear is screwed on. The missing ear must be epidemic: 2 sellers on EBay say their Goofy for sale are also missing ears. What businesses will print a plastic ear; Staples, Office Max?
-
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement ear for my Goofy blow mold? I have Mickey/Minnie /Goofy full-size blow molds in new condition. Just missing the ear. Even if you can think of something that’s close, I would appreciate your passing that info on. Thnx, Scott. aka rotatorman

Visited my local Bradenton Lowe’s, and to my surprise, what do I see: Christmas in full display. Blow molds included candy canes and nutcrackers. Lots and lots of lights. The Halloween section had no apparent shoppers. Ck it out, shop early for the best selection.

What is going on?
Rotatorman replied to Rotatorman's topic in Community Wide Announcements From You!
Thank you deewelch and Trinity Christmas for your tips. Many of the blow molds have been sold locally, but I would’ve preferred (and tried) to give Planetchristmas members first dibs. Still have lots of lights..... -
I’m still active. I enjoy the forum. Not many people think about Christmas this time of year. (try selling some of your Christmas decorations).

I have a large qty of Christmas outdoor display items that I have taken pics of and wish to post them for sale on this forum. However, when I attempt to post the pics, a note appears, telling me the pics are too big. How can I get past this? A lot of items are either new or like new condition, and I would like to see them go first to planetchristmas forum members before I have to sell them otherwise. I am moving, and the next house is too small for what I have. Thnx, rotatorman Did not mean to resubmit the above. But today, after spending a long time taking and posting pics, the forum is not allowing me to post them. Very frustrating!!! At the bottom of the page, it just says `save ad`. There is no way to submit. What is going on? Just trying to give forum members first crack at really good Xmas items. —-Scott. Sunday 7/15/18
