  1. www.buyheatshrink.com has all different types and colors.
  2. I see what you are saying about it not looking correct. The intention with that diagram is that the breakaway tabs on the receptacle be removed between the two screws on each side. Think of it as two separate receptacles. One will be on when the relay is powered and the other will be on when the relay isn't powered. You could use one for static display elements and the other for security lights after the show. Sorry for the confusion.
  3. The one in the diagram is a DPDT (double pole double throw). A DPST (double pole single throw) would work if you are only turning some thing on when the LOR channel is turned on.
  4. Only the relay is powered from the channel and it would be way under the 8 amps. The second cord would be carrying all the load from the receptacle in the diagram.
  5. You could use a relay that has a 110vac coil and control it with an LOR channel. The diagram below shows how to wire it so one receptacle has power when the LOR channel is on and the other has power when the LOR channel is off. You plug the cord going to the relay coil into the controller channel and the other cord goes to a receptacle that is always on.
  6. I'll be glad to try. I am new to Madrix as well. I have just been testing with the demo software this year. Brad Boyink might be more help than me. He has done several "how to" videos and taught a class at the Expo.
  7. LED Light Keeper repair tool. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Unbranded-LED-Light-Diagnostic-and-Repair-Tool-Kit-3203CDX/203462277?cm_mmc=sem|psocial|fbx|dynamic#.Ul3d7p0o6Uk I have fixed a bunch of LED strings using this to find the bad LED.

  9. This is a post he made on Facebook tonight: "Well I promised you folks we would make progress...and here goes. We not only shipped out another batch of orders today, we started another batch of RP32 kits...about half of these are needed for you guys now. Nick joined us today and has been sorting parts like a demon! Please join me in saying Welcome! So now Aaron, Hillary, Nick and yours truly are going to get his backlog fixed! Thank you all for your patience and understanding. Chris"
  10. That's crazy. It's scary just watching that.
  11. I think some people use the term "vintage" very loosely on eBay.
  12. Hi Do you have the DMX adapters set up in Madrix? You need to get it set up so that you can control the lights in Madrix without LOR first. Then after you have them working with Madrix see if LOR can control Madrix. It sounds like you have the ActiDongle connected to LOR. You need to have the RGB lights on an adapter/dongle/etc..that is only connected to Madrix if that is what you want to control them.
  13. Very nice. I have some starburst poles with rope light wrapped around the poles. I never thought about doing them like this. I may have to try this in the future.
  14. Yes you can. They will run in DMX mode.
  15. This works great for finding the problem. http://www.ledkeeper.com/
  16. Here's one source: http://www.christmas-leds.com/productinfo_v3.aspx?productid=LED-CON-KIT-38 I don't know about shipping cost or if they ship to Canada.
  17. Like Xenon said, that's him (Steve). The TV show did embellish and I think scrip some of that. He does have an awesome display.
  18. Here is what LOR sells. http://store.lightorama.com/motiondetector.html There is a link on that page that also shows how to hook it up. I don't think that one is weatherproof. It's just a basic motion detector that goes on a home security system.
  19. With a little more info I can bring you one to the MS Mini Plus. Are you trying to pick up people or cars? How big of an area? 40'x40' 100'x50' etc... Will it need to be weatherproof or will it have some protection from the weather like being under a porch or the edge of the roof?
  20. It was 3G Lighting Creations. They do really nice work. http://store.3glightingcreations.com/
  21. The 2013 Mississippi Mini will be Saturday August 10th. It's less than a month away! Who will be going this year?
  22. Yes, I'll be there. I don't know about Colin or Russell.
