  1. Greg, it's NOT my poll. I just linked to where the poll was, in case anyone missed it. Fortunately, I only placed a small order with Travis last year 2009, wanted a few strings in 35 count on white wire in various colors, for a special project, and ordered on the preorder. After many delays, he offered 1/2 half as many 70 count on green wire, in one of the colors. Tried to tell me they worked out to the same bulb count. I declined. Duh, 70s would not fit on the wireframes I had built. Finally did get a refund on these, but several other items were shipped wrong, and received some thing
  2. Poll is here http://forums.planetchristmas.com/showthread.php/43773-LED-Holiday-Lighting-Order-Status-Poll
  3. I'm in Chattanooga, used 320 chan LOR + 2 Cosmic Color Ribbons in 2009.
  4. I also got the email. What's so sad, is some of the "overstock" items are the one's I didn't get (received other non-ordered lights instead) because the one's I ordred "couldn't be found".
  5. Wow, those pictures show a WHITE tag ! What a rarity, none in the shipments I got! I also tried searching UL using the numbers on the few strands I received that even had a label. Nothing. Just an expensive lesson I learned trying to deal with this vendor. I'll just junk the 106 strings I received, they weren't what I ordered anyway.
  6. About half of the lights I received from Travis didn't have ANY tags of ANY kind. No UL, no California cancer warning, no spare fuses, NO NOTHING ! And it looked liked they had been unbundled and very sloppy job of reinstalling the twist tie, (the ones that even had twist ties, some didn't) Thank goodness most of the lights I ordered, (and never did receive the correct lights), were for a 4th July project next year. This is the second year my orders were screwed up, I've learned my lesson with this vendor.
  7. You have to use LOR's adapter. There are electronic circuits inside that are required for proper communication on the RS-485 LOR network. EDIT: Just noticed this post was over a week old!
  8. You "might" have received M6 bulbs instead of M5. Travis has carried M6 bulbs in the past. The size of the bulb has nothing to do with Full Wave or Half Wave. That is determined by the retification applied to the bulbs (of any size)
  9. I'm amazed that others are still placing orders and getting shipping notices and products while many of us that preorder last March, paid our money, still haven't received our orders correctly and in full. It's real easy to keep a positive attitute when you've ordered 106 strings, now have been billed in full, only received 96 and only 48 were what you ordered. So I have paid for 106 strings and only have 48 strings that were ordered, still missing strings, and emails going unanaswered, and my credit card was charged in early September Yes, a positive attitude is very easy to ke
  10. Why are you clicking on buttons? The link I provided opens with the wire frame clips staring you in the face. They are NOT illustrated separately. A picture of a mini light with a clip attached. These words above a box: Wire Clips for Outdoor Figures Attach our commercial quality lights to any custom wire figure. Bag of 1000 wire clips List Price $37.95
  11. It's stuck in between the mini lights in the center of the page, about 3/4 of the way down. Tell you what, how many clips do you want to order. PM me your name, address and CC# and I'll order them for you!
  12. About 3/4 down from the top. Just before the 100 light strings.
  13. They are on this page http://www.bettyschristmashouse.com/lights/mini.htm#wireclips
  14. You might have received the M6 size bulbs last year, and the M5 this year. Put a caliper across the bulb and measure them, 5mm = M5, 6mm = M6 Bulb size has nothing to do with full wave or half wave, just how they are wired.
  15. I ordered 106 strings, was billed for 106 strings, received 96 strings today, and 48 of those are not what I ordered! Hope the rest of you have better luck. I ordered 312 strings from Paul at CDI, received 312 correct strings on May 27.
  16. Dave, If you receive white LEDs for the others you wanted, you can use stained glass paint on the lens to get the colors you want on those bulbs on your wireframes. Or, use the color caps. Either method works great! I have welded up over 40 wireframes the past couple years, and this year built very few new ones, but have been busy since May strpping off the incadescent minis and replacing with M6 strings from Paul at CDI My order from Travis, which I was billed for and promised shipment by Sept 11, and still waiting for shipment has LEDs I'm using for new wireframes for next 4th J
  17. My credit card was billed Sat 10-3, but UPS didn't receive the shipment until today, with delivery schd 10-12 Hope it's all there.
  18. I use Betty's clips and my experience has been the opposite. I've welded up and wired over 40 wireframes with no problems. This past year I have been stripping the incadescent mini's off, refinishing the frames and replacing with M6 LEDs on my frames. I'm even reusing the old clips with no problems. Still fit nice and snug
  19. My experience with "Big Box Store / Retail Store" LEDs has not been good and I no longer use nor own any. I personnaly cannot stand the flickering of these lights I have tried. I currently have 640 something strings Approx 35,000 lights) of FWR Sealed base LEDs in my display and have no dimming problems at all. Most all of these were purchased from Paul at CDI, and I am very happy with them. Like others, I use both cool white and warm white colors in different areas of my display depending on the look I desire, all from the same manufacturer.

    LED Caps

If the LEDs are M6 size, these color caps will work. They are a little loose on the M5 bulbs. http://www.christmaslightshow.com/xcart/home.php?cat=4 I've used these on some of the wireframes I've built with M6 bulbs, but find it just as easy to used stained glass paint
  21. Wow, those are 6 cents each, on sale! I use several thousand clips a year, would cost me over twice what I pay from Betty's. Not an option for me.
  22. Thanks Kevin, now, how much do I owe you?
  23. Dang Dan, How much do I owe you for that ?
