  1. LOL, I have it posted in L.O.R. already, just thought I could get some different help here. What are you trying to say, I'm not a newbie?? I'm not, I've been doing this for 13 years, obviously
  2. thanks ernie, I hooked up to relay again and this time it's working properly, I have not hooked it into L.O.R. yet , but I will and hopefully it will work fine then too thanks for your help Aj
  3. i never actually had it hooked up to l.o.r., it was just hooked up to the wall unit push button thing that is wired to the garage door opener, and i know i had it wired up right with no current, but why would that make the wires think that it was a closed circuit?? its just 2 low voltage wires red and white, does that make sense?
  4. Hi all, My name is Aaron and I have been decorating for 12 yrs now, I have a unique problem and I hope you all can tell me a simple answer, I built a replica of the new years ball in times square, andI have a garage door opener I plan on using to motorized it, I only have a week to figure out how to trigger the mechanism using L.O.R., Can you help me?? any time I attach any type of relay or transformer the opener automatically thinks its a closed circuit and operates the door opener, so that doesn't work for me... I was thinking of something in the lines of a mechanical arm, but how to trig
