Add something substantial like a 20' Mega tree and put a sign below it stating" Provided by an Anonymous Donor"

For a blown light bulb they are worth their full retail price, to get one half off would be a bonus!!! For loose wires or broken lamps(where the shunt is busted) they will be no help. I have used mine for the last three years and I will try to pick up another on the sales myself.

Diddo.........What enclosure do you have in mind? I am going to be in the market for 6 or so after the LOR sale

Made my decision! 3 New LOR CTB16PC's
sawyer1206 replied to Orville Fugitte's topic in Computerized Displays
Sale started a 1:00PM Eastern time if I recall, had to give the folks on the west coast a chance to wake up. -
It probably wouldn't surprise you if I said I been working A LOT!! We have a big job at NASA right now that has us working four 10 hour days and I am working 12 hour days at my second job on Friday and Saturday. Gotta pay for these hobbies some how!!! I see a lot of our TCL buddies have migrated over to LoneStarHolidays, how is that going?

I understand your line of thinking.....I bought my first 2 controllers in January before the big sale to make sure I got at least those to work with and become familiar with. I then bought my next four from the Inventory sale. If you are buying in quantity I definitely recommend waiting for the sale, last year I bought 14 CTB16PC assmbeled boards and saved almost $400.00.

Never mind!!! I just found it on the front page of the lone star holidays site....DAH!!!!
-
Ryan, Do you have a interactive map of the displays similar to what we had at TCL? Dennis
-
I have bought controllers from the last two Inventory Reduction Sales ("Secret Sales") and my advise is to be at your computer with your paypal account warmed up ready to go when the sale starts. I've seen the CTB16PC Completes sell out in minutes!!! You may find some of the old threads from previous sales where people where posting "Remaining Inventory" vs Time lapsed, should give you an idea of how fast LOR sells out of the popular items.
-
Dennis I usuall figure about $1 a box but what ever you need just let me know. Duane

I have about 35 of the gold minis you are looking for. If you still need them I will give them to you for $1.00 each plus shipping.

Your situation is a mixed blessing...on one hand you have a lot of realestate to cover......but on the other hand you have room to expand. I wish you luck with your display.
-
Are you Static or Animated? If you are static I would leave it as is, because on static displays most people tend to view your display by driving by slowly. But if you are animated I would consertrate in one area, people will tend to stop their veichle and watch the show. If they are at a posotion where they are not able to see the whole display they will miss parts of your display. Just my 2 cents.

I just finished two 10' three color mega trees and they came out perfect. I used AutoCAD to design the layout, topper, and base. I can send drawings with dimenions and pictures if you are intrested.

I've used the Ramsey FM 25B and the EDM LCD Transmitter and I love the EDM. The Ramsey unit was almost twice as much as the EDM and it failed to give me a strong signal unlike the EDM. Check the LOR site there is a thread on a possible bulk buy for EDM........Just my two cents.
