  1. We plan to create a combination "annunciation" and "visitation" or "Magnificat" scene in the yard. The "annunciation" is the Christian celebration of the Archangel Gabriel announcing to Mary that she would become the Mother of God in His human nature. The Magnificat or "Canticle of Mary" is recorded in the Gospel of Luke. It is the Virgin Mary's joyous prayer in response to her cousin Elizabeth's greeting. It occurred to me a few weeks ago that this would be a beautiful addition to our Christmas celebration. I've got two female blow molds (one representing Mary and one Elizabeth), as well as
  2. I am looking to purchase two separate, different looking Mary blow molds. Any one have any they are interested in selling?
  3. Technically I guess I'm imagining a combination "annunciation, visitation, magnificat" station/display. I'm still working out a lot of the details in my mind but it just occured to me this could be a beautiful addition to my display. The Magnificat [Latin: magnifies], also called the Canticle of Mary, is recorded in the Gospel of Luke (1:46-55). It is the Virgin Mary's joyous prayer in response to her cousin Elizabeth's greeting (Luke 1: 41-45). This great hymn forms part of the Church's prayer in the Divine Office (Liturgy of the Hours). When it is recited as part of the Divine Office, it
  4. I like this angel. How tall is it?
  5. I want to create a "magnificat" theme from some blow molds for my display this year. I need a couple Mary blow molds (one I can repaint to look different for Elizabeth) and an angel. Anybody have any single blow molds of Mary and/or an angel they are willing to sell? Is there an on-line manufacturer I can order something like this? Thanks for any help as most of my experience in blow molds has been just purchasing the creche at Wal Mart and/or others donated to me of santa.
  6. Great suggestions. Thanks. I will refuse delivery and notify my credit card company that I was not afforded an advertised discount event though the product did NOT ship until FIVE DAYS after the sale started. Good grief....I can't think of a vendor/business that does this.
  7. Jason, Wow! Even though I must say I am not surprised by your response (given that it took me forwarding my request to you three times before I even got an answer), I am still stunned. I place my order at 30% off, HOURS before you sent out an e-mail offering customers 50% off. Not only that, but my order didn't even SHIP until five days after my ORDER was placed and you publicized your 50% sale. The difference between 30% and 50% on my $200 order is $40...less than the purchase price of one inflatable. I have 20+ inflatables in my Christmas yard display and purchase several new infla

  9. We have 20 inflatables in our display and really enjoy having them as part of our display for two big reasons. Children really love the inflatables and they give the display a level of enjoyment for children that our display would not have otherwise. The other thing I really like is they provide a dimension to the display during the daytime that makes our display enjoyable in the daylight as well as a night. But this year was very disappointing for the quantity of inflatables available at retail stores in my area as well as for the lack of new items. Which got me thinking... If you could
  10. I've never quite understood why people take their decorations down so early, especially given the effort we all put into putting them up, not to mention that Christmas is a "season", not just a day. And that season is not over until the "epiphany", aka, Three Kings Day, January 6th. So postpone your depression and leave the decorations up for an extra week in the future.
  11. Has anyone every had to replace one of the "intermittent" motors on inflatables that have pop up features? Over the years a few inflatables I've had (pop up bear out of a box, elf out of a train, etc.) have one motor for general inflation and a seperate "intermittent" motor for the pop up (when the motor is on that part of the inflatable pops up, then the motor shuts off and a small weight pulls the pop up down). I've had one of the intermittent motors on an inflatable stop working but the general motor is still running fine. I know several web sites sell replacement motors but I don't see
  12. But why should the rest of us who do live in sunny climates have to suffer? ;-)
  13. Sorry for being a late comer but just reada bout the mini in Planet Christmas magazine. Sady and I (Peter) plan on coming up for it but put us down as a maybe and I'll confirm for sure in a week or two.
  14. Most Christians miss the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas sets Christianity apart from all other religions with this radical belief
  15. Are you talking about house circuit? I have a row of 20 AMP plugsan electrician installed directly to mycicuit panel.I'm very careful to count the amps on each channel and side of each box and not to exceed them. I have my inflatables broken down onto three seperate channels on three seperate boxes. Peter
