  1. Greetings, Our 2020 pre sale is live! It's a great time to buy lights at a great price. We also have a huge selection of lights ready to ship at pre sale prices! https://www.holiday-light-express.com/
  2. The thing to watch out for is surging. You're going to want to run your controllers at 80% output, if not, what can happen is that you surge the bulbs in some cases when turn them on and off quickly. When we see systems with large failures, 9/10 times, having them change to 80% output fixes the issue. Also, LED's are going to be max brightness at 80% anyway, so you don't lose any output to your eyes.
  3. We have some of the old style C7 and C9 bulbs (non-SMD) on clearance. https://www.environmentalled.com/Clearance--c29/
  4. Are you worried about snow covering the lights? If you angle them you should be fine, but, if it's deep snow that might be a different story. But as far as snow hurting the lights, you should be fine. The floods we sell work fine in the rain and snow. https://www.holiday-light-express.com/RGBlights.php
  5. The opaque bulbs (we call them ceramic style) would be your best bet if you don't light the harshness of LED's. The opaque bulbs lens absorbs the light instead of reflecting it, as shown above. We have our pre sale going on now which has some pretty good pricing on C7 bulbs. https://www.holiday-light-express.com/C7_SMD_Ceramic_Bulbs.php

Installed WS2811 C9 RGB lights on my house this year. Controlled with a Raspberry Pi and a Pixlite 4 controller. Sequences done with Xlights and Falcon Player.
  8. We some in stock, and you can buy one at a time. http://www.holiday-light-express.com/SPT-1_Plugs.php
  9. for at least our factory (and typically true for most), the 5mm, M5, C6, C7 and C9 are all the same LED strand, just with a different lens. So when you go with C7 and C9 it is not really that great. So what I would recommend, is that if c6 would work with you, go with that, as it will look nicer than C9 strands. That, or go with the retro fit bulbs, although the price isn't as nice, it will look a lot better.
  10. If you track it down to extension cord connections as being your issue. What I would do is but a little dielectric grease on the prongs and then tape them up. But I highly doubt this is your major issue for tripping GFI's. You could have strands of lights with cracks in the wire, or sockets that are not sealed that are causing your issue. If you have older ext cords, you could have cracks in the wire on them, and that causes the issue. I just don't really seeing it as the connections. I've installed thousands of lights in Michigan weather, and never had issues with GFI's because of an extension cord connection.
  11. They will be about $1.39 each or $1200 for a case of 1000 bulbs.
  12. We have a fair bit of stuff in stock now at pre sale pricing. Plus you get another 2% discount for paying in full. Here is the list of what we current have on hand. http://www.holiday-light-express.com/in_stock_lights.php
  13. A lot of folks plan for the following year in the previous year. We actually changed how we do our pre order sale to make sure we can get lights to people sooner than ever before.
  14. We sell both C9 and C7. We also have both C9 and C7 bulbs in stock, however we don't have any C7 sockets/wire instock, that is coming in April. http://www.holiday-light-express.com/ I would recommend buying a C7 bulb or two, and a C9 bulbs or two now and comparing them. Then you can make your decision on what will work best for you.
  15. We have a bunch of stuff in stock now. We do have a container of lights slated to get here in late January as well, so if it's not in stock now, there is a good chance it will be then. Here's a list of what we have now. http://www.holiday-light-express.com/in_stock_lights.php Also, we are in Michigan, so we should have reasonable shipping as we are the closest to you. If by chance you happen to be in Michigan, you are always welcome to stop by and pick up what you need. Someone is here M-F 8a-6p
